Be_Not_Afraid

There's so much pain in the world today
in almost every way;
and even when we've done our best,
it seems its here to stay.

It may be the loss of a loved one,
Some may not have a home.
It may be the saddness when they feel
that they are all alone.

For some it may be lack of food
or lack of clothes to wear.
For some may have no one around;
There is nobody there.

I know at times I feel the same
when my heart is weighed with tears;
but I must try and look ahead
in spite of all my fears.

There IS Someone who loves you.
There IS Someone who cares.
There IS Someone who watches you,
Though you can't see Him there.

He knows the pain you're going through.
He sees the tears you cry.
He lifts you up when you can't stand
no matter how you try.

When we do all that we can do
although the light seems dim,
Just lay your troubles at His Feet
and leave the rest to Him.

Sometimes the answers to our prayers
are heard in such a way;
That in the silence of our hearts
We'll softly hear Him say:

"I know you're hurting, my dear child.
I know it isn't fair.
The cross that you are carrying,
I'm helping you to bear."

So when you're feeling saddened,
just look up high above
and feel the strength He gives you
Through His unending Love.
