When_Darkness_Overshadows

When darkness overshadows you
and blinds so you can't see.
Just take a moment to yourself
to see what you must see.

The sun still shines above you,
the grass still grows below.
The clouds still hover in the sky
and flowers still grow.

Your heart beats deep within you;
your eyes, they can still see.
Your feet will still carry you;
And your hands will still be.

The darkness soon will pass away
replaced with brightened sun.
Just look ahead with open heart
To see what has begun.

Look straight into the road of life
That forms within your soul.
And look not back from whence you came
And strive toward your goal.

For life is learned from each mistakE.
In wisdom you will grow,
And each new step that you now take
Will cause your path to glow.

Greet each day with a brightened smile;
Let darkness not control.
For when you feel the joy within,
You'll have peace within your soul.
