Castle Hill is owned by Lewes District Council and managed in partnership with the Castle Hill Group. The Castle Hill Group is actively involved in managing the site and promoting its value as an important nature reserve to local people, thus conserving Newhaven's natural heritage.
If you would like to get involved and don't mind being outside and getting your hands dirty, why not volunteer to improve your local environment?  Join your Community Ranger and friendly volunteers on conservation tasks at Castle Hill
There's lots to do, like footpath maintenance, step building, woodland and chalk grassland management, scrub clearance and the surveying of plants and animals.
Volunteer!!!
