Visiting Castle Hill Local Nature Reserve
Newhaven is situated between Brighton and Eastbourne on the A259 coast road and is linked to Lewes on the A27, via the A26. Castle Hill Local Nature Reserve is located adjacent to Newhaven Fort, which is well signed on all approach roads into Newhaven.

Trains run regularly to Newhaven Town Station, ~1.1 miles (1.8km) from Castle Hill and buses stop regularly throughout the town centre, approximately 0.7 miles (1.1km) from Castle Hill.

Free car and coach parking is located at the foot of the Nature Reserve off the access road to Newhaven Fort, with further parking available in the
Newhaven Fort car park.

Investment in the Nature Reserve has resulted in vastly improved access. A new 'Access for All' footpath running from Newhaven Fort car park to specially constructed viewpoints along the cliff top, enables wheelchair users, buggies and prams to fully appreciate the splendour of Castle Hill.
