Bistro of a Not-so Starving Artist!
Vivian McClure
Welcome to my site!

Since I can remember, I have enjoyed
Art! I suppose my talent as an Artistic person was first noticed  by my Mom as she stood hovering over me with a washcloth and some comet to scrub away my fabulous scribbles on many of her walls. She could never quite keep up to me  and so  resorted to settling my young artist's mind with paint-by-numbers and crayons etc.
These were the best means she knew to help me stay on track with my artistic interests!
During my childhood years I loved to gather other kids together and put on plays, puppet shows and even a parade!   I'd get a notion to make something happen and it just could not be silenced!  Some unique character would come to mind from the simplest of ideas brought on by anything at all ranging from: passers by to someting I may have witnessed or read. From these  I just HAD to get it down on paper or try to imitate it an play or write about it in a short story.

I have used Art to express myself throughout my life.  Wether from  feelings of depression or frustrations caused by life's happenings, to every measure of happiness and contentment God has offered in my path. I have learned how valuable it is to allow one's children and one's own heart to be artistically expressive; free to create!  Freedom to create has been my source of healthful relief of all negative emotions or memories that come from life's lessons and experiences!

Artists that are experiencing success from their Artistic freedom and careers, are
there because they ossitive mentally made the decission to BE the Artist they so wanted to be. Acceptance of hard work and constant learning in order to reach successful goals and recognition is quite a feat to undergo in this competitive world, and I give praise to the many others out there who are discovering and who are disciplining their own unique Artist Within. .
My hope is that all who wish to become singers, songwriters, visual artists, photographers, poets, or musicians etc.will reach a successful place in their lives so as to venture upon  their self-discovery of who and what they are as free thinking and possitive "Artists!"
I hope also that from my words, I will have opened the minds of parents and youths alike to stay the course in finding their own unique 'Artist Within' and to openly welcome the freedom to express themselves through study and doing Art: making up their
MIND toward going for it!

MY STRONGEST ADVICE:

Welcome mistakes as YOURS and as valuable witnesses to the arrival of WHO you are today!
Don't stop testing yourself and learning new methods to approach any new idea of creativity!

There is none that can destroy the inner  Artist but you yourself!  I have become so very aware of how individual we all are and how
"success" is so very different for each of us!
