JAN KUEHNEMUND

Lead & Rhythm Guitars

(original member)
Played on the albums Vixen and Rev It Up and the Hardbodies soundtrack. From a musically inclined, "normal" midwestern family. Her mom and brother played accordion and keyboard. Her grandmother played the organ and harmonica. She worked as a cocktail waitress, in a factory "...where the big machines were shredding paper and wrapping stuff with cellophane and putting it through the shrink tunnel." and for a guitar company setting up the guitars before shipment to music stores. She had a few lessons on the guitar "here and there." Started Vixen when she was "14 or 15." Sources say she is in California playing in nightclubs with her new band. Reported to be working on new material.

SHARE PEDERSEN

Bass

Played on the albums Vixen and Rev It Up Brought up in a "typical midwestern lifestyle," her mother was a piano teacher. She worked in a music store, read mail for a blind man who worked in a government office in Minneapolis, packed items in a shipping department, played bass for singer Helen Reddy and taught at the Bass Institute of Technology. She studied piano for 10 years. First learning to play the bass from a book, she then attended the Berklee College of Music her junior and senior year of high school. Dropping out of high school six months before her graduation because "I wasn't getting anything out of it and didn't want to waste my time studying other crap." She then went back to Berklee, worked as a session bassist, moved to LA. She met Jan at a gig who gave her, her phone number. Later she joined Vixen. Was said to have went back to teaching bass at the Bass Institute of Technology in California. Sources tell us she is married and was in a band with her husband called Sub Cool. Now in a band called Bubble.

JANET GARDNER

Lead Vocals and Rhythm Guitar

Brought up in the small town of Bozeman, Montana, her mother played the piano and her father the violin. She worked at a golf shop, and for a guitar company. She had piano and guitar lessons as a child then studied music in college for two years, then classical voice for about five. Met a friend of Jan's at a club while in a different band, she auditioned several times and got the job. The only one of the four married at the time (Fall 1990). Sources tell us she married Deep Purple's manager and was living in Connecticut playing golf and relaxing. Now of course, back at it in Vixen.

ROXY PETRUCCI

Drums

From a musical Italian, Catholic family, her father was a saxophone player and she picked up the clarinet, flute, guitar, saxophone, bass and of course drums. She worked at Big Boy for about a week, attended Oakland University at Michigan, taught music lessons and sold guitars to dealers by phone. Stated playing clubs with a band at 18, which went on the road as Madam X playing the U.S., England and Scotland, splitting up after several years on the road. She got engaged at 19, but it didn't last long, she "gave it up for rock and roll." Then Vixen sent her a tape and she joined them...the rest is history. Was rumored to be back in the Detroit, Michigan area playing with Madame-X. Now of course, back in Vixen.
