As you can see, I mounted the boost control where the ash tray goes. I cut out a piece of black plastic to fit in the hole and hold the control tight. I found this is the perfect location because it allows me easy access for when I really want to smoke Rustangs. I can set it for any PSI I want from 6 to ??. For now, I am limited to a max of around 13-14 which gives me around 300 total HP. |
I started my modifications by adding the Greddy SP Exhaust. I ordered it from Alamo and installed it myself. I had a friend make me a down pipe and straight pipe so that I could remove both Catalytic converters. |
Here is a picture of the HKS air filter on my car. In the top left of pic #1 you can see the control valve for the boost controller. Pic #2 gives a better look.. |
Here is a picture of my set-up as of now. I do not want to hide stuff in the glove box, and I refuse to screw or tape things all over the car. As you can see, the boost control is in the ash tray hole and the turbo timer fits under the stereo. While making the cover for the turbo timer, I decided to try out the "FIRM MOD" listed on SOGI's website. It allows the driver to lock the suspension in full time firm mode or stick with Toyota's electronically controlled system. The red button on the left controls the system and again is very easy to reach. I left some room for another switch just in case I add some other mods????? |

Here is a pic of my Lotek Pillar and APEXi boost guage. Now I can monitor my boost at all times and adjust my boost controller as needed. This is much better than my old system of running a hose into an old pressure guage sitting on my lap. |
