Welcome to my web site! My name is Virginia Lawson Jones. My ancestors lived in Hawkins County and Hancock County in northeast Tennessee in the 1800's. Their names were Anderson, Cobb, Cody, Fletcher, Lawson, Mallett, Manis, Minor, Murrell, and Paxton. Some of them were Melungeon and some were not, but most of the families migrated to Tennessee from Virginia and North Carolina in the early 1800s.
My genealogy is organized into family groups. There were many marriages between these families, so there is some overlap between them. Check back periodically to view new additions.
