I am an English woman, a Yorkshire woman, working and living in Barbados. After I had been living here a while, it one day occurred to me how many people could speak, or at least understand, the Spanish language.
The answer is clear, this beautiful little paradise island of Barbados is surrounded by the Spanish speaking countries of South America to the south (Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Bolivia, Argentina, Paraguay), Central America to the west (Mexico, Panama, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Honduras), as well as Dominica Republic, Puerto Rico, and Cuba to the north.
