Nissan Skyline GTS-4
Well, I finally jumped on the "jap-import" bandwagon and bought a Pearl Blue 1994 GTS-4 for AUS$26,000 (on the road)! - The person that I bought it from, spent a total of AUS$4000 on the car improving it from "stock". Modifications included a GTR bodykit, 17" alloys, muffler/exhaust and a pod air filter. It made sense to buy the car "as is" since the stock models are only a bit cheaper at AUS$22000 (approx.) The car was not roadworthy as I bought it; the reason being the tyres and brakes needed replacing. In the end I got some Continental 235x45 R17 tyres that cost $AUS215 each and some standard Bendix brakes (Bendix don't manufacture the Ultimate series to suit the car) . The first thing I did was to replace the factory double din head-unit with a JVC model (and a spare DIN compartment) - nothing too fancy...I just needed a head unit with Line In so I could hook up a computer to it =) ...
I am now saving up to put black leather interior throughout the car. That should set me back about AUS$1000 and am also thinking of installing a screen with computer (yep, that's right - something like a Celeron 566).
The photos below are from a Kodak Picture CD and as a result; are scanned at a really high resolution - each JPG is about 650K. Enjoy.
