This line drawing shows the wireless installation fitments in a 8 cwt PU body . The charging board is visible with the charging switch box ( just above 40) . A PTO gearbox driven generator charged the wireless batteries which were attached to the floor ( 90 ) between the seats . (86) are compartments for the satchels signals bags which contained headphones etc.
The wireless table is visible where the No.11 set was mounted . These bodies were also fitted to the other 8 cwt makes ie. Humber Snipe and Fordson WOC1 . Also seen on the 4X4 Humber FFW based on the heavy utility chassis. |
