Above is the correct badge seen on MCC military vehicles from the mid 1930's to the early WW2 period . Often ,badges were painted over by the army during repainting .  Badges were dropped from production around 1942, probably  as an early wartime economy move.
This blue badge appears to be from the early 1930's , used on civilian MCC vehicles
Seen on the civilian C range , this badge has the words

'BRITISH TO THE BACKBONE'   beneath the main script .

The badges are made from a copper blank , which appears to have been stamped in a large press . Baked enamel finish .They were made by a Birmingham firm.
