Algebra Concepts is a course for students who have previously struggled with Algebra 1.  Emphasis is placed on showing all work clearly.  Students who successfully complete the class will be ready for Geometry the following year.  For details on the organization of the class, grading policy and expectations, please see the Class Syllabus.

Email progress reports:  I will email progress reports after each test to those parents and students for whom I have email addresses.  I asked parents for this information during the first week of school.  If you are not getting progress reports electronically and would like to, please email me at Vickie.Kelly@rsd.edu .

Calculator Policy: Calculators will be provided in class when appropriate.  Algebra 1 students should not bring a calculator to class.

Textbook: The textbook we will be using is Glenco Algebra Concepts and Applications.  This book should be kept covered at all times to increase it's useful life.  These books will be in use at Hanford High School long after current students have graduated.  Most of the time these books will be kept in the classroom and the students will be doing worksheets from the material.
