http://astrologicinsights.com/Welcome new subscribers to "Astro * Logic Insights Monthly". We seem to be off to a good start and gaining new subscribers everyday. I must apologize to those who have tried to contact me through Human Click. On several occasions I have left the computer for a few moments and came back to see a request for a chat which had been cancelled because I did not answer soon enough. I must admit I am still moving slowly and just do not get back in a timely manner.
I will increase the frequency of Astro * Logic Insights to be published bi-weekly as soon as possible. I really appreciated the response to the * Comment section * below under Spotlight, which we will get into shortly.
Please don't be shy about asking questions and/or submitting articles for inclusion so others can also comment.

It was not that long ago that a bunch of website owners including me, lost our sites due to the Hot Yellow 98 and My Free Office merger. That was a tough blow at the time, but there are still many more people lurking out there to take our money. I fell for some of them and I am sure a lot of you have also been taken for a ride one way or the other.
This is why I joined iCop. My report on this terrible sham is in their files. Fortunately my credit card company charged back most of the **duplicate charges** as they were using two of my credit cards for the same charges!
Protect yourself! Don't waste your hard-earned money! Get full details on all complaints sent to iCop about online businesses! This may be the MOST important publication you'll ever read!
For only $29.97 a year you will be kept advised. It will be published monthly and sometimes more often if something urgent arises you will be alerted by i-Cop. Don't miss out. Subscribe Now!
Order i-Cop RAP SHEETIn the previous issue I wrote about Progressions and received some interesting comments and questions. However, before I address those questions I want to add another aspect that will also confuse you if you do not use it. This aspect is called Declinations.
Declinations represent the distance of the planets North or South of the Celestial Equator. The Sun's maximum declination is 23º28' representing the Solstices, i.e. 0º Cancer and Capricorn. The Moon, Mercury, and Mars reach 27º North, and on some rare occasions Venus may reach 28º. The outer planets from Jupiter out, have almost the same declination as the Sun.
A Parallel in declination occurs when two planets are in the same degree of declination, either above or below (North or South) of the Celestial Equator. The type of declination where both planets are both above or below the equator likens to a conjunction of these two planets and are treated as such.
The type of declination where one planet is above (North) the equator and the other planet is below (South) the equator represents a Counter-Parallel and likens to an opposition and again, should be treated the same.
When I find a declination, I only use a 30' orb to be effective in any analysis. (up to 1º is the usual orb)
Declinations are the reasons many students of Astrologer cannot find aspects that represent certain events in natal charts. You can have a very nicely aspected Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus, etc., in the natal chart and suddenly find yourself in a situation not shown in your chart when the declinations are not considered. Many people have had things happen in their lives and ask why it happened when they hear me state that the planets must be in aspect natally in order to be activated by a progression and/or transit. The reason can always be found in the declinations when it not evident in the natal chart!
Declinations, commonly known as Parallels have long been known as "evil" aspects. This goes back to ancient times when the Astrologers could only make their predictions by what they saw in the Heavens by the naked eye! Sometimes I believe this is one of the many reasons they are not widely used today. In fact, most of the Ephemeredes do not even put them in their books, except the Rosicrucian Ephemeris. Most computerized charts usually have them included on the chart printout. On a chart printout the parallel is indicated by "||" in the aspects listed and the Counter-parallel has the same symbol with a horizontal line though it.
I personally feel there are no evil aspects. I do believe that we are here to learn through all of the various aspects and if they are indicated by one of the parallels, then we must be ready to take action and not just sit and wait for whatever is going to happen as it comes to fruition. This also indicates the same type of action we should take if we get a square or opposition from planets making negative aspects to our chart.
There are several schools of thought about parallels. Do they indicate bad or beneficial aspects? One school of thought states that all parallels are bad. The other school states that the conjunction and parallel of good planets, i.e. Jupiter, Venus and the Sun, are good, while only bad consequences come from Mars, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. It has been stated that because of the slow movement of the outer planets, parallels usually react on the health, i.e. a parallel between the Sun and Saturn would bring a long period of ill-health. Whereas, a parallel between the Sun and Jupiter would strengthen the constitution and allow financial gains.
For those interested in learning more indepth Astrology, I suggest purchasing "The Message of The Stars" by Max Heindel. This has always been my favorite book that really tells it like it is. It makes you learn to blend the influences. But aside from that, this book gives you more information than any other book on the market that I have found in all my 25 plus years learning astrology.
You can order it through the better book stores that carry the subject of Astrology or order it directly from The Rosicrucian Fellowship in Mount Ecclesia, Oceanside, CA.

The following comments have come in from our readers:
Hi,
I am new to Astrology and seem to be having difficulty in understanding what I just read. Is there a good book or other source that I could read that has good examples of a chart progression? I think I understand the day for a year bit.
====>Aurora:
I have used many sources for information on progressions. The first book I used extensively and found to be very accurate was simply called "The Progressed Horoscope Simplified" by Leigh Hope Milburn. This little blue book is so small you wonder about the accuracy, but going exactly by the book, you can make amazingly accurate predictions. This is an old book first published in 1928 and hopefully still on the market.
My second recommendation would be by Sophia Mason "Delineation Of Progressions" and can be purchased from the (AFA) American Federation of Astrologers, Inc., published in 1985, or in any good bookstore that handles Astrology books.
My third recommendation "Secondary Progressions - Time to Remember" by Nancy Anne Hastings. This book was published by Samuel Weiser, Inc. in 1984 and should also be available in good book stores in their Astrology section.
Clarification please?...am I understanding this correctly...a planet progressing to a natal planet will have no effect unless the same two planets aspect each other natally?
====>Wendy:
Your question brought forth my feature article on Declinations. Unless there is a declination between those two planets, then you are understanding what I said perfectly. In my own chart I have my natal Moon at 5ºSA42' and natal Saturn at 16ºAQ10' - not close enough to be considered a sextile. When transit Saturn stationed on my natal Moon - NOTHING happened. So many different astrologers warned me about how depressed I would be, as well as all of the other consequences of a Saturn-Moon conjunction. I was not under any depressed state. This aspect made three passes to my natal Moon with no adverse consequences!
Hope this clarifies the subject for you and others who are wondering if this is true. You must be aware of what planets are being aspected and/or are aspecting other planets in a natal chart to make an objective prediction through Astrology.
I read your article on Saturn progression and found it to be Very interesting and informative. I understand that you move Saturn one degree for each year you have lived to see where it would be sitting now as to your age. How many degrees to a planet in your natal chart do you allow once progressing up your Saturn and is the approach to a planet in your natal chart stronger than if it has just left a planet?

====>Florence:
Your understanding is not correct. You DO NOT move the planets for each year of your life. You count in the ephemeris from the day of your birth to the next day which equals your first year of life and so forth. Say you were 50 years old, you would count 50 days from the day of your birth because the day after represents age one. Then you see where the planets are on your 50th birthday. All planets do not move a degree daily. Some planets, like Saturn for instance, may take up to ten days to get off of a degree. In other words that same aspect Saturn was making at birth will be sitting there for the first ten years of your life before moving to the next degree.
When a planet progresses to another planet you allow one degree approaching, one degree exactly on the degree, and one degree separating. The separating degree is weaker than the approaching (applying) degree and less action takes place, if any.
I have heard of Astrologers trying this type of progression. I can assure you it does not work. You have to use the natural motion of the planets. If you take into consideration how slowly the outer planets move, plain old common sense tells you they definitely do not move at the same rate as the Sun. The Sun circles the earth daily, which obviously brings us our new day - you have a Solar Return once a year. You do not have a Saturn return until you are between 28-29 years of age. Your first Uranus opposition does not occur until you are near your 40th birthday - say between 37-40, not to mention your Uranus return around 83-84 years of age. This is why we use the day for a year method. Of course, in The Bible, it also states you take a day for a year.
