WELCOME to Astro * Logic Insights Monthly

Word From The Editor

Well, Thanksgiving is over and the Christmas Season has begun! Or should I say, it began BEFORE Thanksgiving. Seems a bit backwards to me, but I guess I am just old-fashioned, to say the least

I have a few things to discuss which I hope will benefit all of you, as well as remind you I have said this before. We had a tremendous Lunar Eclipse on November 19th. It effected many of us, yours truly included. Yes, we are all studying Astrology!

BUT!! Are we so great that we can accurately interpret our own charts? I think not. We see what "we want to see" or what we decide to worry about ~ and we are all great worriers. The Lunar Eclipse happened within 2° of my natal Venus. In my own chart, Venus rules my 6th and 7th houses. My thoughts on this were - maybe I will have another health problem (6th house) or John, my other half (7th house) will have a problem.

Sure enough, John was put into the hospital with bad chest pains, so bad he had to go by ambulance! But wait, this was a week *before* the dreaded Lunar Eclipse. Furthermore, he was sent back home with the artery STILL clogged. The hospital was booked for the angioplasty type procedures and nothing could be done for another week! Horrors!

One week later he was put in the hospital on an "out-patient basis" and the procedure was done. He came home the next day, weak, but better. What did I miss? I thought the worst had happened. Not so. . .

Before he got home, I was notified that my job had been terminated! As some of you know, I am unable to go out and find another job. I was employed by this company over 12 years and the last 2 years have worked from home via the Internet with the same job because of the stroke I encountered in 2001, leaving me homebound.

So, with the help of a couple other Astrologers, who could read my chart with some objectivity, pointed out that Venus was also the ruler of my 2nd house ~ personally earned income! Yep, I missed that sure as I am sitting here. Venus rules the 2nd house in the natural zodiac. It doesn't matter what sign is on the house. So a lesson well learned. Don't ever think you know it all when it comes to Astrology! And, certainly not for your own chart, or I might add, the charts of loved ones.

Did it bother you or disrupt your life? Here is the path for this past Lunar Eclipse:

November 19-20, 2002 Lunar Eclipse 27°33' Taurus 8:34 P.M. EST
Visible in Africa, Europe, Greenland, N. America except west, Arctic, Central & S. America, Atlantic & western Indian Oceans.

Now, guys and gals, we have a Solar Eclipse on December 4th. For those of you who are new to Astro * Logic Insights Monthly, and, for those who forgot ~ remember:

December 4, 2002 Total Solar Eclipse 11°58' Sagittarius 2:34 A.M. EST
Visible in Africa, part of Antarctica, Australia & S. Island of New Zealand.

AND, if the eclipse path does not cross over your area, then it must be considered a regular New or Full Moon. Many students of Astrology look to the eclipse influence even though the path does not include their area. A good rule of thumb :-)

"If you can't see it, treat it as a New or Full Moon!"

God Bless All of You,
Remember, keep the Christ in Christmas. No more Xmas!!

    FEEDBACK

I would like to remind all to keep praying for Brenda Shawe. This gal is determined and she is back home and was doing better. I heard from my friend in Baltimore who advised me Brenda's condition has made a turn for the worse. I just looked at her progressed chart and that darn Lunar Eclipse hit her Progressed Part of Death and things do not look good. My friend is on her way over to Brenda's as I write this. Pray!

Pray friends, Pray. IT WORKS! Thank God for a peaceful passing if there are no more miracles that He has for her.

We have more Feedback, again from Lois Rodden, of AstroData Bank, who writes:

"We now have a time, from B.C. for Williams: looks like 6:12 AM, sent by Brian McNaughton!"
    Thanks, Lois.

    SPOTLIGHT

    Dear Marianne and friends,

I could really use some help! My question is: my north node is in my fifth house, so does that imply that it's important to my destiny to have children?

I have Uranus, Part of Fortune, and north node conjunct in Scorpio in my fifth, and I hope that this means that I will find success in developing my ideas on the hidden, occult meanings behind medical diseases. It is my passion, and I look forward to spending my life researching ways to use my understanding to help people heal themselves.

I am 26 and I love children dearly, but I don't want to become a mother because of the limitations on lifestyle and career that it imposes. But is this just my eleventh house south node (hopes and wishes, scientific advancement for the benefit of others) interfering with what could be my true path to personal development (fifth house north node=children)?

I will be spending the next 2+ years working overseas, but before I go I have the opportunity to be sterilized and I am carefully considering it. Any thoughtful feedback on fifth house north nodes would be appreciated as I make my decision. My birth data: born April 9, 1976 at 10:26am Central Time in Gadsden, AL (86w00, 34n01)
    Thank you!
    Tatum Trussell

===>Tatum, thanks so much for your question. Do you realize that your South Node represents your past and it is so very easy to go back, so to speak, without learning more about what we are here for. The North Node is what we are to reach for, not something to avoid.

Therefore, I cannot believe that the South Node is interfering with what could be. It is the easiest route to what was, to what you feel comfortable doing. My feeling is that this would be a mistake.

As I look at your chart I see your Part of Fortune conjunct your North Node and the Vertex which indicates a "fate" point. To me this means you are perhaps fated to have one child, if not more. The North Node represents a Jupiter influence, which indicates it could be a blessing.

To be sterilized, especially as you state you love children, could bring you many unhappy days ahead by making this decision. Many changes can come your way in the future which may cause regret for such a decision and/or action this early in life. Remember, we are not really considered mature until our first Saturn return.

    Your statement:

"I hope that this means that I will find success in developing my ideas on the hidden, occult meanings behind medical diseases. It is my passion, and I look forward to spending my life researching ways to use my understanding to help people heal themselves"

leads me to believe you do not realize that Uranus would be more of a help in this pathway than you realize. Uranus is the **future** and this passion can be combined with the children you bear, would could, in their own way contribute to your research.

This desire to learn is just another one of your children already born.

    Comments anyone?

===>Tatum, does this help in your decision?

Hi Marianne! I'm Eva and i love your articles.I anxiously waite for them every month! Now,i have a question: what do you mean by "the degree of tears"? It is very interesting but i don't understand what YOU mean by that. My husband has the Sun(29 Aries) and the Black Moon(29 Libra)== exact opposition!!What is the MEANING of it? Please try to answer me one way or another!Blessings
    Eva

===>Eva, I appreciate your comments and will try to answer your questions about the "Degree of Tears".

The original Degree of Tears ~
originally came from 29°Taurus, the place of the Pleiades or so-called the Weeping Sisters. This indicates there is and/or will be something to weep about in making important changes here. It started with the Moon being placed at 29°Taurus, but soon it was realized that if any planet or cusp is in 29°of any sign at birth, the Moon will progress to aspect it, and cause a disturbance which upsets the status quo.

Further, as stated by Ivy Goldstein-Jacobson, if you have another placement at 0° at birth, it has it's Solstice Point at 29° of another sign, marking that a disappointment area when activated by the Progressed Moon's square because the Moon will be afflicting that point and changing signs, signifying a very upsetting change.

===>Eva, did this help you to understand the 29°?

I can hear the next question -

HOW DO WE FIGURE SOLSTICE POINTS?

The planet's Solstice point is its distance from 0°Cancer or 0°Capricorn, which ever point is nearest, like this ~ take the planets degree and minutes and subtract it from a whole sign of 30° or 29°60" and the sign it falls in below is it's Solstice point by degree and minute derived from the subtraction:

  • Capricorn ~ Sagittarius
  • Aquarius ~ Scorpio
  • Pisces ~ Libra
  • Aries ~ Virgo
  • Taurus ~ Leo
  • Gemini ~ Cancer

    Example: Whole sign=29°60"
    My Natal Taurus Venus =24°58"
    Solstice Point Venus= 5°02" Leo

I just had a New Moon in my chart at 5°41" Sagittarius - hmmm, such a nice trine, so something good should happen from that disasterous Lunar Eclipse, I hope 8-)

    FEATURE ARTICLE

    Evolving Through the Houses

With the intent to redirect the division of houses, simple conjuring of existing references without manipulation or bias can stimulate and advance the somewhat limited, traditional interpretations. The elemental application of twelve separate houses contained within a whole (one) natal wheel is ordinarily the concept of the traditional mundane masses, hence the natural wheel which in itself has ancient roots that have been modernized.

The concept of astrology has advanced in many ways since the beginning yet it has also reached a plateau of sorts. With the rising of Piscean waters as Uranus ascends from its given ruling sign of Aquarius, the idealization of "what is" raises an inquisitive, innovative realization of "what was and what will be is 'what is'," as the meeting of past and precognitive energies activate the illusion of reality.

This realization; the meeting of resurrected minds, seekers of the "new age nation," is exactly where the dawning of the evolution through the houses begins. Energy (including planetary) is not born, nor does it die; energy manifests and evolves into the existing realms that welcome its transition. In this case, the transition is the step into the next level of the journey through the houses as each house collects, applies and transforms the existing planetary energy. The foundation of the house(s) disintegrates as the energies ascend, carrying with it experience, wisdom, spiritual tokens and vast lessons learned or still in need of reasoning.

The houses within have no dividers or barriers that segregate them. Instead, they have steps which help to evolve to the highest level of attained or collective consciousness. These steps can be taken on various levels such as physical, mental, emotional and spiritual, not limited to the one journey.

Physically, the houses would signify the birth, growth and maturity of the vessel which encases the life force; attributes would include health, physical experiences including the reflexes of pleasure, pain (indulgence, neglect), travel, leisure and labor as in the birth experience and the hardships of work.

Mentally, the houses represent the psychological and psychical patterns that absorb (or deny) the collective, learning methods that enable the advancement of the mind, the awareness of inner vision, meditative methods, education, imagination not limited to fantasy, the divine spark and the use or abuse of communication in its various forms. Mentally, the psyche can activate energy sources within the body, perhaps the opening of the third eye, the use of intuitive insight and the ability to "read" people by evaluating body language, thought-patterns and by observing the exchange of higher vibrational levels between two people super-conscious).

Emotionally, the houses counsel the inner feelings and "feel" the journey with the passionate heartfelt, the unconsciously naive or immature and the (un)inhibited. Emotionally some are unable to see clearly or sort mentally from emotionally and seek guidance through the houses, for example, as the blind are led by other prominent senses or mental stimulation such as Braille. The emotional self is triggered by planetary energies, therefore molding, shaping or breaking free the existing feelings, or lack of, into its transiting environment which can enlighten in progressive reform and prompt heightened sensitivity in those who are "in tune" and empathetic.

Spiritually, the houses accumulate the discovery of universal tokens, rewards, faithfulness and faithlessness, occultism, bondage or freedom, perhaps both, the worshiped and the uninvited, innocence and sin, and the dedication or desertion (rise and fall) of religion, spirituality and self-servitude. Within this evolution through the houses, the ascension of spirituality when manifested and applied, may give the individual a numinous glow, especially if using the energies within the houses as tools to guide others through their times of transition, aimlessness or suffering. The rewards of such selfless acts often are followed by solitude which in the spiritual realm is sanctuary for replenishing resources, maintaining originality and strengthening the connection with the divine.

There is a negative side to this, however. The aforementioned bondage, faithlessness, or desertion of faith or spirituality can literally drain and manipulate those who reach out to guide them. With this, there would be consequence rather than reward. As with most attributes, this one is not limited to any level of consciousness or judgment as those who abandon the gift of oneness are left with nothingness. The evolution or ascension would be not to the highest attainable level but back to the drowning pool. Not all who are born in darkness remain, and not all who are born with enlightenment remain; the spiritual journey is individual and intimate with all levels of the self. The spirit can be tempted, misled or even uprooted from its grounding force when the other senses are not active or in harmony with the rest of the energies that support its journey.

Introspectively, the following evolutionary cycle is an original, unconventional look into the journey of the self through the houses. The self is as one, which implies all levels are recognized and the new teachings are accepted as the dawning of latent astrological insights thus inspired by very stimulating, revolutionary transits to the author.

Archetype: the original pattern or model of which all things of the same type are representations. The houses are archetypal as they all relate to one another in some way, shape or form. Every house has something to do with the other. The original pattern of each individual natal wheel has its own vibration in each house, as they all become an evolutionary journey to oneness. As energy is realized not to be born or to die but manifested from one source into another, it exists in everything, it is part of everything, including its origin continuing through its transition into motion: a cycle, journey or evolution until its reunion with the divine source.

Preface: The twelfth house is truly the beginning of the evolution of the self since the soul is born before the entire physical body. The birth of the self is the rising ascendant, which is the actual moment of physical birth and a welcome into the outer world and out of the darkness and solitude of the mother's womb. The natural twelfth house contains what has been absorbed as the soul memory matures in the development of the physical body, therefore restoring past incarnations, spiritual debt and the constant stirring of the unconscious which harbors dreams, intuitive vibrations, collective wisdom and previously instilled memories which may guide the evolution through the houses, also known to some as the inner voice or spirit guide; both are intimate and may be mere eflections of the past upon the present incarnation.

Another attribute from the author - - "Whilst the projection of selflessness toward others is a personal reward, it is also the grounds for the religious or spiritual foundation of the offspring. Self-worth prepares the womb for a treasure which is the creation of attained wisdom and soul experience. In this sense, we give birth to our ideals, morals and virtues through the self before passing it to another life. This allows us to procreate much more than genetics. It allows us to create an intimate relationship with the inner self which then can manifest into a haven for a maturing soul within the womb."

    And the evolution begins . . .

The twelfth house brings forth the underlying mask of the "other" self, in which the first house lifts off the mask and shows the real world "who you are." The second house then gathers what has been exposed in the first house and applies it to establish and further the self. The third house then figuratively assesses the resources gathered in the first and second houses and prepares them for the needs of the fourth house, which is manifesting growth and tending to the core of the self, which surrounds and comforts intimately so. The fourth house grows into and expands within the creativity of the fifth house and releases its seed, planting a new generation, if not just enjoying the physical act. The sixth house obediently processes the needs, taps into the psyche and realizes what is necessary to hold it all together, mentally, emotionally and physically. The seventh house receives this intuitive assessment and becomes more involved as another (spouse) may be accompanying the evolution among the new creation within the self. The eighth house whispers, "half is mine 'til death do us part," and looks above as a phoenix bird passes overhead, reminding us that we are all born from death. The eighth house opens doors to realms we never thought existed, in preparing for the ninth house which teaches us that instinct and the higher mind count more than relying on others advisories. "Listen and know thyself," echoes in the ninth house and as we climb the high point, the mid-heaven, the tenth house restructures and conditions us for new opportunities that have been earned though hard work and learning the lessons from past error, thus missing the chance for success. The eleventh house reminds us that structure is control and who needs that? The eleventh house frees any remnants of constraint or regret and opens the gate to a new world with not one order but many groups who are inventive, advanced and supportive of the free- thinking mind. Many a friend resides in this house with open arms. The journey back to the twelfth house leads you to absolute divine fulfillment or it can strip you of your already vacant pockets. You can be abundant in the end or have absolutely nothing but the Sun on your back, literally. The journey back is solely how we choose to manifest, accept and apply our personal, intimate planetary growth evolving through the houses.

The houses all leave various (personal planetary) shadows behind and a reflection on the next. This pattern is a reminder: like a footprint can be left in the sand or reflection seen rippling in a pond, its impact is seen and felt long after it has been there. The evidence of its presence and its incoming vibration gives a glimpse of next energy that will be stepping up into the next realm and carrying its collected conscious comfortably along all the while. The end of the evolution is therefore the beginning of the soul's journey into the spirit world, shedding the physical vessel and retaining the experience for the next incarnation.

    Author's note:

The aforementioned houses and interpretations are not the means of interpreting a full natal report. This article does not include the Sun, Moon or any planets, signs or aspects.

Do I smell a series of articles? Maybe, just maybe.
