    Subject: menopause

    Hi,

    My name is Eva and I'd like to ask a question. I looked in many places on the internet but I didn't find anything. My interest is in the eventual aspects which are showing the installation of the menopause. For me,it was sudden and pretty early in 10 Aug.1999.

    I guess it is something about Saturn,but I don't know if it is the Moon (natal or progressed, maybe the eclipse) or venus and I don't know which house (the 8th?). Can you help me, please? If you have time to peak in, my data is: 08 May 1955, 20:10 (EET) Tirgu Mures (birth city), Bucarest (the actual location), Romania. It is rather important to me, so I thank you in advance for your time and "feminine" kindness.

    Actually, you are right on time from what I can find in the Medical Encyclopaedia by Howard Cornell.

    He states, in part:

    "The Change of Life in Women ---Menstruation begins when the Moon by progression reaches the sign and degree in Opposition to her radical place, on her first course around after birth of the native, which is usually about the 14th year of life. The Menses stop and are discontinued, when the Moon by progression reaches her 3rd Quarter from her radical place, on her second course around thru the 12 Signs.

    "The beginning or ending of the Menses may be earlier or later in life according to the nature of the signs thru which the Moon passes, whether they be signs of long or short ascension. The Menopause takes place from the 43rd to 48th years of life."

    AS AN OBSERVATION ~


    It appears that science and the addition of the different hormones injected into the cows that produce milk, as well as the harmones in Mothers of newborns who have drank milk, eaten cheeses, etc., have absorbed these harmones and are present in mother's milk,but not as a great risk, than that in cow's milk.


    This can be observed by looking at the young girls, some beginning as early as 9-10 years old, begin to mature and appear much older than their actual age. We have babies having babies in the society today, which is a real shame. It makes us wonder just what is the reason that science and harmones control our bodies without our consent.


    When this book was written (first edition 1933) no further research was done because no one was putting all of that garbage into cattle and apparently no need was present.

    it appears that further study should be done with these facts in mind. If you will notice, the planet Pluto is conjunct your natal Moon by transit. Pluto moves so slowly, Astrologers have begun to look to the slower moving planets as having an affect of an actual Progression in our charts.


    Another observation is that your Progressed Sun at 29°50 Gemini is in your 8th House of death, indicating the death of the menses. Your Progressed Moon on August 10, 1999 was well past the opposition to it's natal position and conjuncting Uranus ->Sudden Endings?


    Anyone else have any observations?

    MORE WITH HENRIETTA AND JOHN, cont'd

    An interesting point - the Transiting Ascendant at the time of this terrible accident squared the Part of Surgery in John's chart...but then, so did Anna May's Natal Moon. Was this an omen? Six years ago, after the birth of this child, John had a vasectomy to prevent further increases in the family. Do you remember that Full Moon promise mentioned previously? John immediately had the vasectomy reversed - with no guarantees of having further children.

    The doctor was absolutely amazed to find Henrietta pregnant a few months later, with the sperm count still down below the level to produce children. A first!

    A FEW MONTHS LATER...

    Could it be that this time they had their goal set for a boy? Or, perhaps Spirit had a hand in this. At any rate, in Henrietta's chart we find her Progressed Venus making a square to the Part of Male Children. Her Progressed Sun was conjunct Natal Mars and the Progressed Part of Fortune was conjunct her Ascendant. Henrietta's Progressed Ascendant was in trine aspect to her Natal Sun. I find it most intriguing that transiting Uranus began trining her Part of Male Children from the time of inception. It went into direct motion just before John, Jr. came into this world! In fact, the month before the birth, the Full Moon of June 12, 1976 opposed her Uranus from 21° Sagittarius! When Pluto by transit conjuncts your Natal Neptune, your life is in some manner "transformed". Indeed, how true! After having only girls in the family, this was her first male offspring. The transit Part of Fortune was squaring her Uranus!

    I found the Lunar Eclipse of May 25, 1975 sextiling John's Part of Male Children from 3° Sagittarius 25. His Progressed Moon was also applying to a Sextile. A Solar Eclipse on April 29, 1976 squared the Part of Male Children from 9°Taurus. The New Moon at 6°Cancer before the birth on June 27, 1976 fell on John's Progressed Ascendant. The Full Moon at 19°Capricorn squared his Progressed Sun. What I find super interesting is that when Junior was born, his Natal Sun opposed the Part of Male Children in his Father's chart! His Natal Moon at 8°Gemini 38 conjuncted his Father's Uranus and Ascendant. With so much Uranus activated during the pregnancy and birth of this child, I would venture to say he will be super intelligent in areas of his interest - whether it be scientific - psychic - or perhaps a computer wizard!

    DOUBLE OR NOTHING...


    This was a confusing pregnancy to follow. Looking at Henrietta's chart, on September 27, 1977, a Lunar Eclipse at 4 Aries made a semi-sextile aspect the Part of Male Children. This is a very weak aspect. Then the companion Eclipse at 19 Libra on October 12, 1977 made an inconjunct to the Part of Female Children. What on earth was this trying to tell us?

    Two months before birth on March 24, 1978 a Lunar Eclipse fell at 4°Libra, making an inconjunct to the Part of Male Children. On April 7, 1978 a Solar Eclipse 17 Aries made a semi-sextile to the Part of Female Children - more confusion...yes? Her Progressed Venus was squaring the Part of Male Children. Her Progressed Midheaven was applying to trine the Part of Female Children! One month before birth, the Full Moon fell at 3 Scorpio squaring Henrietta's Part of Increase!

    Of course, she was well aware she was having more than one child (her Progressed Ascendant was also conjunct the Part of Increase!). In fact, at one point the doctor told her he heard three heart beats! Her Progressed Mercury was being opposed by the Transiting Mercury on the day of birth. Was this indicating twins? OF COURSE! They were born on May 31, 1978.

    In John's chart ... the twins Sun was conjunct his Ascendant and Uranus! His Progressed Sun at 0°Scorpio was squaring the Part of Male Children and the Full Moon at 1°Sagittarius on May 22, 1978 squared the Part of Female Children. The Marriage Sun was at 10°Sagittarius, and the Full Moon touched it. Of course, it was opposing John's Uranus and applying to a conjunction to his Part of Increase. Oh yes, the twins?

    ..ONE BOY...ONE GIRL...! Of course!

    SIDE NOTES...



    This has been quite an experience following the planetary aspects and actually seeing the sex of the children being indicated by the aspects made to the Part of Male and Female Children. As you can see, twins are a bit more difficult. The main thing you must watch are indications in the form of eclipses and lunations. The Solar Eclipses can begin eighteen months prior to the birth. The Lunar Eclipses, although their influence only lasts for about six months, seem to give indications of the sex of the child.



    PART OF COMA



    I created the Part of Coma while searching desperately for a clue to when a coma would end. I have tested it out on charts with the coma involved. For every one tested, it has worked like a charm. It is included in the list of Parts at:

    PROGRESSED PARTS

    I have been asked time and time again if the Progressed Arabic Parts work as well as the Natal placements. The answer is yes, ... they do and you will be quite overwhelmed with the answers you get. If you have a computer to do it for you, it is quite simple. Otherwise, you must work them out by hand which can be quite time consuming, but well worth the work involved. There are two things to always keep in mind. The Natal placements of the Arabic Parts are usually very influential. However, we have found that the Progressed Parts tend to be more active. This is because nothing is cast in stone in our Natal charts. There are times we feel like fate takes a hand. But, most of the time, we are in control of our own destiny. Everything changes and so do the Arabic Parts. You will see them work. Watch them.


    The Natal aspects made to them should be considered just like you delineate the planets. There are times when the Natal Arabic Parts do not give you an indication of an impending action or problem. This is where the Progressed Parts will show you what is happening. You must work with all of them to get the answers you are searching for - just like in a jigsaw puzzle - it takes many pieces to complete the picture.

    The Part of Increase is a real interesting one to work with. You just saw it working with the birth of twins. Put it in your chart and watch aspects to it. Perhaps you are waiting for something to produce results. If it is aspected well by benefic planets, or the ruler of your second house, the increase could result as money. You could get a raise at work - you could hit your State Lottery, etc. Keep it in your charts and watch it work!

    A little background about how and why I discovered just how well they work. In the Spring of 1989, a few of the girls from our Thursday night group, went to a convention in Jacksonville, Florida. There we met the very well known Astrologer, Katherine de Jersey. This lady captured our interest from the very beginning. Whenever she spoke, we listened! During her seminar she introduced us to her method of using the Progressed House Cusps. She put the Progressed chart in the middle of the wheel and placed the Natal Planets into the Progressed Houses! What a tool for rectification! What a tool for prediction! This is not a new way of using the progressed houses. However, it has not been a practice that was widely used by many Astrologers and students.

    A planet found conjunct one of the Progressed House cusps indicates an event took place at that time, usually in regard to the meaning of the sign on the cusp and/or meaning of the house. This works quite well and gives you facts you would otherwise miss.

    We have been working with the Progressed charts using this method for over a year. To differentiate between the regular progressed charts and the other method described above, we have chosen to refer to the latter method as the INVERTED PROGRESSED CHARTS. This led me to experimenting with the Progressed Arabic Parts. When you figure out your Progressed Parts, you will be working with the Progressed House Cusps. This is dynamite! The insight given to you by this method makes you wonder why you have not used it sooner. I never run charts without Arabic Parts calculated for the progressed year. The calculations are good for about a month, due to the Progressed Moon's movement. If you are looking for more accuracy, then re-calculate about once a month. Now that you are more familiar with using the Arabic Parts try them out for yourself.
