I don't claim to be an expert on political candidates, but there have been so many people commenting and predicting. I guess I have to throw my hat into the ring with an opinion. Granted, opinions do not win, but here's how I look at it astrologically anyway.

First, I have to agree with everyone else about where Saturn is placed by transit in the candidates charts for an election. The last one, that was also called "a stolen election" was extremely close, with one exception. Saturn, by transit in Al Gore's chart was transiting his 11th house, by moments, but those moments apparently counted. Since he and Bush had almost an idential chart for these transits, Saturn did stay in Bush's chart in the 10th house.

The thing that really bothers me to this day is the fact that a Sun trine Saturn natal aspect indicates a man of honesty. A man who will remain true to his word. This aspect was not in the current President's chart. It is in the chart of Al Gore. We now see how that differs in a chart without this honorable aspect. Bush has his natal Saturn in his 12th house 13°away from his natal Sun! This is not a conjunction and is certainly not a trine! You can see his chart here:

Now, the question is, can he win the election a second time? It is noted that he will be having his 2nd Saturn return during this period of time. This will place Saturn back into his 12th house and certainly not going "up" in his chart. This is the worst placement I can think of for re-election. Of course, this is up to the voters obviously. Will he win with transit Saturn in this 12th house of self-undoing?

One more thing bothered me with Bush's chart. His actions speak for themselves. He has Uranus being the only planet not "trapped between the Nodes" and this has proved out more than once in his actions. His actions have been off the wall, unexpected and completely against traditional reason, which relates very nicely to Uranus! If you haven't heard of this aspect, take heed and watch for it in other charts. It depends on which planet is the only one outside the Nodes as to how the person acts in situations. I have found charts that ALL of the planets were trapped between the nodes. Talk about someone who was not a leader - definitely, because all the energy was trapped.

So, now let me proceed to the remaining candidates and what I see in their natal charts. The current front runner at this momemt is John Kerry. You can see his chart here progressed and transits to election night:

Now, John Kerry has Sun/Saturn opposition at birth and he has transit Saturn climbing up the circle of the Zodiac on November 2, 2004, in his 8th house, not his 10th where it would be most effective. He has a good chart, but nothing progressed to his 10th.

However, there has been too much talk in the news and other articles I have read about his actions in politics and suspicious ways he states he has voted. I also note in his natal chart that he has a classic aspect of not being truthful. You guessed it ~ Mercury square Neptune with only a 1°10' separating aspect which is pretty close and cannot be ignored. It's going to be interesting as there is talk of a surprise in this election, so only time will tell. However, at this point in time, it appears John Kerry will be the Democratic candidate for President.

Next, I look at John Edwards, the next candidate behind Kerry. This man I like, especially with his Sun trine Saturn at birth. Here's another man of his word. His chart is here:

John Edwards and John Kerry could make a good team, as the TV broadcasters have mentioned many times. Of course, at this time, John Edwards makes no mention of stopping his quest for President to even consider being the Vice President to John Kerry. This is something that may take place later if their lead holds. If not, I bet this man will be back when transit Saturn begins climbing up in his chart.

Right now, as you can see, on Election evening Saturn is still moving through his first house, so he has a way to go, I believe. But, someone well worth watching in coming elections.

Now, could Dennis Kucinich be the surprise? He was born with Saturn in the 5th house and, as you can see, on election evening he is very close to having his 2nd Saturn return with transit Saturn in his 4th house on election evening and beginning the climb up his chart! See his chart here and give it some thought! Probably not, but someone to give consideration.

I have listened very closely to Mr. Kucinich and he makes a whole lot of sense. He has Saturn sextile his Sun, which is not at all a bad aspect. All of the press is following the forerunners very closely and not paying much attention to Mr. Kucinish. His chart indicates he is definitely a "people person" and someone to listen to others. Also, notice that he has cardinal angles. I notice his Saturn sits on Bush's Ascendant!

The next man, lower on the totem pole, is Rev. Al Sharpton. I know this man has a lot of ideals, but he is not ready for this presidential position. In fact, here is another one with all planets except one trapped between the nodes! I am not sure I would want this man running our country either. He has the war planet, Mars, the only planet outisde of the nodes, which doesn't sound very safe to me. But, that is just my opinion. His Mars is in an applying square to Jupiter, as well as Neptune. Last, but not least, is Ralph Nader. He never quits and did cost the Democratic election last time. He states he will withdraw from the race if he sees that he would be hurting the Democratic party this year. His chart is here:

Now, here is a man who is trying again. Saturn is beginning to climb higher than previously, right on the 7th house cusp, 3° away from crossing over and into the upper portion of his chart. I have also listened to him and like what I hear from him as well. Now, he could be a surprise, but wonders never cease. He is a go-getter, with 6 of the 10 planets on the eastern side of his chart. On the evening of the election, the Sun is transiting his 10th house.

It is interesting to note that out of all of these candidates, none of them have Saturn transiting the 10th house. Does this mean that yet another "surprise" candidate is waiting to make him/herself known? Just my 2¢ worth and it probably isn't worth that anyway. It does have my curiosity perked as to who may be the surprise candidate. I checked Hillary Clinton's chart and Saturn isn't doing her any favors and won't for quite a few years, so guess she can be ruled out.

However, I did look up Bill Clinton's chart on election day in November 1992. Although he did not have Saturn transit in his 10th house, he was born with Saturn in his 10th house. That puts a different slant on the whole election as far as I am concerned. Most people have made their predictions with Saturn usually transiting the 10th or very close to it. Hmmm ~ that will make us all pay closer attention, I believe. In this case, it appears that John Kerry has the best chart. Anyone have any comments or opinions?
