Is everyone ready? Ready for Mercury Rx? The "shadow period" began July 21st and Mercury begins its path on August 7th thru the 31st `~ WOW ~ a long hot summer,indeed!
Thanks to everyone who helped me celebrate John's 81st birthday. If you missed it, sorry as it is over as of this issue.
Now, again I ask for prayers for him. He has been suddenly passing out, the last time being at the grocery store. Fortunately, the people behind him knew him and gave him assistance in getting back on his feet. He had a MRI in May and nothing was found. However, they have continued and the grocery store incidence was just terrible. Prayer helps. This I know, so please, please pray for him to get stronger. He has Neptune in his 6th house and for those who are not aware, this placement causes wrong diagnosis, wrong medications and flat missed readings of x-rays and MRIs. I was told that if there is something in your body smaller than a dime, a MRI will not detect the problem and I have fear of this possibly being the problem. I am urging him to call his doctor and believe me that is one BIG job, as he hates going to the doctor. Of course, his doctor would not even want to hear about Astrological knowledge :o( even tho they take the Hippocratic Oath. Sometimes I wonder if they know who Hippocrates was or had to do with medicine!
Love, Light and God's Blessings,

Dear Marianne
I am new to astrology and have been devouring as much information as what I can. I have a query that I hope you can help me with. (Your time permitting of course.
I was born on 14 September 1968 at 10.45 pm in Johannesburg, South Africa. My Jupiter return is due on 23 July and Mars seems to be returning at the same time. Is this signficant? What "triggers" should I be looking for when trying to interpret my Jupiter return.
I look forward to your response.
Regards
Celice Lison
===>Celice,
According to my program, your Jupiter return will fall on July 27. If you are not still living in Johannesburg, your Jupiter may be showing the earlier date according to where you live. However, the return to your natal chart is the one I work with.
Mars will make it's return to the natal position on August 3rd, which is approximately one week later, so they are not returning at exactly the same time. With Mars, this is the time to make your plans for the next 2 years. Below I will give the info regarding how a natal Mars is aspected at birth, which will give everyone some indication of what to expect.
If Mars is well aspected, natally, the return is fortunate for starting new enterprises, entering a new venture/area, accepting a challenge, taking a definite stand and having the courage of one's convictions, taking the offensive, winning debates and lawsuits. This would be a period of personal success.
If Mars is not well aspected at birth, then the return would be unfortunate, causing you to exert resistance against authority, arguing, rashness, disobedience, etc. There could be danger of bankruptcy and litigation, fire, theft, accidents, illness or bereavement. Changes would cause loss and destruction.
Jupiter is your planet of luck and the good things that happen in your life. If Jupiter is well aspected at birth, the return will bring fortunate times for expansion in your professional, academic, legal or publishing fields. You will be given credit and honors, along with favorable publicity. It will broaden the knowledge, gain by charity, insurance or through the courts. A period of greater prosperity and security. Improved health.
If Jupiter is badly aspected at birth, it will bring unfortunate changes, over-expansion, poor judgment or over optimism. There can be self-indulgence leading to health problems, blood disorders or trouble in the part of the body ruled by the sign Jupiter is in or opposes. One would take on more than they can handle at this time, exhausting the energies, savings and patience. Changes cause loss and destruction.
Basically, both Mars and Jupiter are well aspected in your natal chart, so I would not worry about anything bad happening ~ so concentrate on the good. The only thing I might warn you about is since Jupiter squares your Natal Moon at birth, be a bit more cautious emotionally, or you could go overboard at this time.
===>Celice, did this help?

Saturn - the mere mention of this planet's name brings forth a negative response from most of us. Keywords we associate Saturn with include restrictions, responsibilities, maturity, work and reality. Our own feelings about the keywords are what cause our negative reaction to Saturn.
In the sign of Cancer, ruled by the Moon we find the keywords much different including: nurturing, feelings, love, protectiveness, home, safety and family.
The keywords of Saturn and the Sign of Cancer show nearly opposite meanings. In the transit of Saturn through the Zodiac, Saturn is indeed in its detriment. It is transiting the sign opposite that which it rules, Capricorn. How can Saturn in Cancer manifest in a positive way in this sign?
As a baby, we were placed into a crib or bed of some sort to keep us safe. This container gave us boundaries and security. We were kept dry, fed and comfortable. Our every need was met through the another, the parent, the adult(s) in our lives. When we became toddlers, they taught us the word "no". "The stove is hot, do not touch it", "Do not climb those stairs, you can fall and hurt yourself." The word "no" is simply limiting our natural curiosity as children for our own safety. In school, eventually we began getting "homework". This lesson not only supplemented our studies but also taught us the lesson of discipline, timing, and responsibility. As we grew, the work became more challenging, preparing us for adulthood. Our grades reflected how well we learned all of our lessons.
Saturn entered Cancer in July of 2003. The planet spends approximately two to two and a half years in each sign of the Zodiac. Saturn will remain in Cancer until July of 2005. This is a relatively short transit for the planet. There are two periods of retrograde, where the planet will move backwards covering the degree's it has already been over. During these periods, we will find ourselves reviewing those changes Saturn has brought thus far.
Saturn is about foundations, structures and traditions. It shows us where we are at our weakest, where we need to develop stronger foundations. Saturn transits teach us to take responsibility for our decision and actions. With this lesson we also admit to participation, the role we have played to get to where we are today. We have to deal with the acceptance of what we have created. If we have accepted Saturn's lessons thus far, this transit can be relatively easy. If not, well you might find yourself doing some harsh catching up.
On a personal level, Saturn is teaching us where we need to continue striving and growing. Where Saturn is in your natal chart, by sign and house will indicate how this transit will manifest for you. Those of you who have natal Saturn in Cancer are experiencing your Saturn return, and are around 29 years of age. You are, depending on the degree of your natal Saturn is found experiencing Saturn on a very personal level. [However, if you are around 58 years of age, you are experiencing your 2nd Saturn return. This deals primarily with your health and due caution should be taken seriously.] For a free copy of your natal chart go to:

The news today is about "homeland security" issues. Recent events have taught us where we have been lax and allowed weaknesses to form. Saturn is showing us we need to strengthen and fortify our national security. Our leaders are in a position where they must act to protect us all. We are being challenged as a nation to give ideas on how to manifest these changes.
These are the personal and impersonal manifestations of Saturn in Cancer. Without the ringed planet, which has also made the news due to the exploration of Cassini an unmanned space explorer, our life on earth would be much different. We wouldn't like a lawless planet where no one carried on the traditions we love, or enforced the laws and rules we live by. Some authors are now referring to Saturn as our "Guardian Angel". I hope this changes your opinion of Saturn and that you can learn to deal with the planet for what it really manifests in our lives.

Free MailWasher Pro downloadA "Blue Moon" is the rare second Full Moon in a single month. July, 2004 brings two Full Moons. Fourth of July Holiday weekend commences with a Capricorn Full Moon on Friday, July 2nd. There is another Full Moon on the 31st. Therefore, the lunation on the 31st will be a Blue Moon. The familiar phrase "Once in a Blue Moon", used to describe an unusual, delightful event is linked to this genuine celestial phenomenon. Usually two and a half to three years will elapse between Blue Moons. Mystics have long been sensitive to this heightened lunar tide. A Blue Moon is especially linked to wish fulfillment and unusual good luck in the United States. The folk lore of Appalachia is rich in references to the Blue Moon as a messenger of surprises and delights. In Europe a Blue Moon has more sinister implications, especially regarding weather. However, I have found that the rare pattern is healing and brings a strong dose of goddess energy to the planet.
July's Blue Moon will occur at 2:05 pm EDT on July 31, 2004 in Aquarius. A friendly mood, enhanced interest in astrology and other mystical topics will be noticed. Aviation and ultra modern technologies can also be a focus. Harry Potter's and J.K. Rawling's birthdays are both on July 31. This Blue Moon can bring new insights into the special world of Harry Potter. Lammas, the high Wiccan holiday of the first harvest, is celebrated on August 1. The eve of Lammas has long been linked to the energies of nature and the Green Man. In old Russia July 31 (old style calendar) was a night when various sprites and spirits were thought to wander, it was the birthday of Helena Blavatsky, a noted 19th Century Russian mystic and Theosophist.
Reflect upon how the Blue Moon highlights your own birth chart in order to make the best of this celestial blessing. A Sun Sign guide as well as event chart are provided for your reference. On this special night gaze skyward. When the radiance of the Moon has permeated the very core of your being, light two candles (one in your favorite shade of blue, the other in another color of your choice). Make two wishes. Two is the Moon's number. Seal the ritual by chanting the following twice.
Blue Moon bright and round
Let love and wealth with me abound
Heavenly
magic keep me free
As I do will, so mote it be.
During the four weeks (1 lunar cycle) following observe how the Blue Moon brings changes and opportunities your way.
