| From TVB 2000 #162 * Thanks to Chris for the translation!* "miss hk 2000" semi-final is over now. The most prominent that night of course belongs to "Miss look best on screen"--Vivian Lau Wai Wun. But she said she isn't pretty, instead she said she is idiotic, why? Vivian can not believe the host announces "#11" won the "Miss Photogenic" and thought he said "#17". Only until she heard her name does she walk on the stage nervously to accept the award. Interesting enough, she still doesn't believe she won "Miss Photogenic" after the incident is over. Left face is pretty "I'm very surprise! B/c I never think that I look good on screen which is why I still feel the whole thing is just a dream. Aren't I silly!" Vivan thought that her face round like a bun, the only feature that she finds good looking are her eyes. But after the pegant, she discovers something, "everyone says my left side of the face is prettier!" One can't believe this "Miss Photogenic 2000" is afraid to stand in front of a screen. "I'm not used to posing, my pose is very rigid. And I smile unnatually every time on screen. But I said to myself on the night of semi-final that I must do well in the show. So, my smile was very natural, and maybe that's how I score!" The best part--"I performed very well in the part w/ Mark Kwok" The silly part---"I don't know why I said fly is "foot-in-the-door-grasshopper" The sunshine part--"I smile very happily and naturally" The happy part--"When I won" Can't lose Vivian said that she can't perform worse due to the support from her mother and relatives who attended the pegent show and her friends in Canada saying that they're going to support her on tV. Earlier when contestants travelled to Austrilia, they were exhausted and Vivian said to herself, "If I lose, I'll go back to Canada to rest for awhile." And now, she can't go back yet b/c she has to attend the final on July 9th. Asking whether she has confidence to enter into top 3, she said, "I've confidence! I hope to garner #1!"
