I grew up on the West coast of British Columbia and enjoyed a childhood full of adventures in nature - whether in my own backyard, day trips to the beach, or excursions through the mountains. The experiences and memories of these adventures fuel a lot of my paintings, and I also find that the subtle beauty in nature is a reminder of God's abounding love for his creation.

I studied Art under the direction and guidance of artists such as James Tughan, Bruno Capolongo, Petra Zantingh, Nathan Turner, and Art lecturer Chris Cuthill - all of whom are professors at Redeemer University. I graduated with a B.A of Arts with a double major in Fine Art and English, and I was fortunate enough to learn and gain skills from these mentors. In the 4 years I studied Art I grew as an artist; I branched out into new media and new techniques. Since then it has been a growing experience.
