Everyday babies are aborted. We hear that word almost daily. When was the last time you stopped to really think of what that means? I mean what it REALLY means. I ask you to just take these few moments and read through this page. At the end, ask yourself again: Is this the answer?

According to the Alan Guttmacher institute, some 4% of abortions are done after 16 weeks gestation -- that's at least 60,000 second and third trimester abortions annually (July/Aug 1988 Family Planning Perspectives). There are some 13,000 abortions 20 weeks or later (Alan Guttmacher Institute, New York Times, July 5, 1995) and that should be considered a conservative estimate.
Less than 2% of these abortions had to do with diagnosis of a fetal problem.
It is my belief that a baby begins at the moment of conception. Science can testify that at 3 weeks a babies heart begins to beat. At 6 weeks a baby begins moving their arms and legs and brain waves can be measured.

Taking this into account, lets look at when and how abortions are performed:

D & C (Dilation and Curettage). Performed during 7-12 weeks of pregnancy: The child is cut to pieces by a sharp knife.
Suction. Performed during 7-12 weeks of pregnancy: The child is torn to pieces by a suction machine twenty-nine times as powerful as a home vacuum cleaner.
D & E (Dilation and Evacuation). As in D & C, the child, now much larger and more fully developed, is cut to pieces by a sharp knife. "This procedure requires the inflicting of innumerable knife wounds until death results. It takes about ten minutes."

Salt Poisoning or Saline Solution. Performed during 13+ weeks of pregnancy: The child is older and more developed. The procedure takes one to two hours. The child is bathed in a chemical solution that poisons him and burns his skin.

Partial Birth Abortions: Late Abortions. These abortions are NOT "rare". Nor are they done only to save the life of the mother or in cases of severe fetal deformity.

The Partial Birth Abortion Procedure:

Guided by ultrasound, the abortionist grabs the baby's leg with forceps and pulls the baby out into the birth canal.

The abortionist delivers the baby's entire body, except for the head. (It is not considered a live birth as long as the head is not delivered).

The abortionist jams scissors into the baby's skull. The scissors are then opened to enlarge the hole.

The scissors are removed and a suction catheter is inserted.

The child's brains are sucked out, causing the skull to collapse.

The dead limp baby is then removed.

An Abortion Gone Bad
Af first they thought it was a doll in the back of their garbage truck. The baby had apparently been dumped immediately after he was born: the umbilical cord was still attached.
There was no way to know where he had been dumped. It could have been almost anywhere along the truck's route.
Unidentified and unclaimed bodies in New York City are normally buried in a mass grave with just a "plot number" for identification. The missing persons detective assigned to the case, Al Pignataro, couldn't bear to see this baby's life pass so quickly without his even being given a name. He managed to have himself declared the baby's legal guardian so he would have the authority to name him and bury him. In the casket he put a stuffed animal and a toy car, and his five-year-old son gave a plastic bunny he had gotten for easter and stuffed it with some crayons. The funeral was attended by Pignataro, a local priest, and someone from the funeral home.
