The Object of My Affection | ||||
Our Diets of Sin We were all born into innocence, Now older, no more. Sin erases our guiltlessness And augments our weaknesses. Sin becomes inexistent to our minds, Only when we are indulging. Sin is a gift for everyone, And to all, happily received. Few are those who can resist it, All are those who are tempted. Many are those who give in To the temptations of sin. Pureness has never crossed my eyes Except on a baby just born. We were all at one time pure, We were all “just born” once. Sin erases our pureness And extends our records Of giving in to the many Temptations of sickly sins. |

Author's note: Sin easily entangles us throughout our daily lives. So much so that we can often become numb to it, accepting it as a necessary evil, but God calls us to live a holy life, just as He is holy. |
