The Object of My Affection | ||||
This World She faces the world in a different way: One of love, compassion, and a burdened heart. To a land racked with AIDS and death she will travel, With only the faith that God has given her. She trusts His Word and holds to His promises: One: that He has gone ahead of her. Two: that He will complete the good work He has begun. Three: that He will always love and never forsake. This world of hate and death and hypocrisy This world of war and crooks and Pharisees This is the world she loves with all her heart This is the world she longs to serve. She faces the world in a different way: One of hope, on mission, and a broken heart. To a land filled with a desperate people she will travel With the message of grace unto salvation. She reads the Scripture and preaches its plan: One, admit that you are a sinner Two, believe that Jesus is God’s Son Three, confess Jesus as Savior and Lord. This world of suffering and disease, This world of protest and terrorist and bombings, This is the world He loves so much, This is the world He has died for. |
