Thanks for your interest in Movie Club Manager. Movie Club Manager is the one-stop management package for organizing and running your movie rental and sales business. Movie
Club Manager was developed in 1995 based on the request of a particular Movie
Club. It was first developed as a DOS program, which was latter re-written in
1997 for the WINDOWS environment. Over the years it’s performance has been
optimized and various functions and features added. Currently various movie
clubs are utilizing it. Based
on feedback received from existing users, Movie Club Manager is continuously
being optimized, upgraded and enhanced with new features and functions. It is
currently in version 3.0 with version 4.0 going through the conceptual design
phase. With Movie Club Manager
it is very easy to manage customers, films, rental, sales and at the same
time keep an eye on your finances as well as the health of your business. In Movie Club Manager a
customer need only register once to rent Tapes and Video CDs (VCD). Different
membership categories could be defined to cater for the rental needs of your
customers. Customers may upgrade their membership to meet their changing
rental needs. Movie Club Manager is a
highly secured management system, access is through defined user accounts.
Users could be restricted to the transactions they need to carryout their
roles effectively. Movie Club Manager
maintains a complete audit trail of all transactions, making it possible to
drill down on any customer or film. Customers may also check for previously
borrowed films. Being a Windows based,
network ready system it is possible to set-up different terminals to cater
for the growing needs of the business. A Checkout, Checkin, Supervisor and
Customer enquiry terminals may be set-up to enhance the business. Business rules are
centrally and uniformly enforced ensuring that defaulting customers, with
expired membership or outstanding bills are encouraged to regularize their
accounts. Non-business days could be excluded to ensure that customers are
not wrongfully billed. Defaulting customers could be charged for late
returns, lost films, damage films and non-rewound tapes. |

Rental rates are very
flexible and are based on membership category and film format (VCD or Tape)
while sale prices are based on film format. Provision for bonus films are
also available to cater for special promotions. It comes with a 112 page
comprehensive user guide in word format. The user guide is designed for all
levels of users. Movie Club Manager is
distributed and marketed as a shareware program, meaning that on request you
are sent a fully functional 30-day trial version of the software at no cost
to you. You are free to install, assess and use the software on any number of
systems in your business. You may also make copies of the CD and distribute
or install for others provided you do not charge for this service. At the end
of the 30 days trial period you may decide not to use the software any
further in which case the CD and the software on it is yours to keep and distribute
(at no cost). If on the other hand you wish to use it to manage your business
you would be required to pay a registration fee US $49.99. On payment you
would be given a unique activation code, which opens up the program for an
