Great news!!!

With a little luck and your blessing we will induct two new members into the Club and

tomorrow’s Career Day luncheon. They are Duncan sponsored by David Maxwell and Elizabeth

Rodriquez-Goldstein, sponsored by Howard Pollack. The Board of Directors is meeting today to

consider the applications but the word is that there are no objections. Both candidates have been

to the last three meetings and are anxious to become a part of Rotary and all that it stands for.

Following is a brief description of the two, one by Dave Maxwell and one by me.

_______________________________________________

PROSPECTIVE MEMBER DUNCAN ELKINSON has submitted his paperwork to become a

member of our Rotary Club. Duncan, a former owner of his own catering businesses located first

in San Fransciso and then in Los Angeles, also has written books and movie scripts. Duncan is

now Senior Vice President for a finance company that factors contracts for manufacturers, mainly

latex glove manufacturers, who sell their product to US companies such as Coca Cola, etc.

Duncan is in charge of raising lines of credit via investors for his company’s working lines of

funds to factor these purchase invoices. Please say hi to him. Duncan is participating in the

Club’s Career Day program; he has already identified a prospective member who is lady that

owns and operates a day dog sitting business.

Yours in Rotary,

David Maxwell

Candidate number two is Elizabeth Rodriguez-Goldstein. Howard introduced Elizabeth to the

Club in an attempt to get the whole of Tivoli Ave. to become members of our Club. I have

spoken to her at each of the three meetings she has attended and she seems very excited about

what we do and becoming actively involved in our programs and efforts to make the world a

better place. She has her own company and teaches classes in CPR and First Aid to groups and

corporations. Anyway, I think that Liz (nickname that she put on her application) will be a

valuable addition to our Club. She is participating in tomorrow’s career day.

Thanks for reading and thank you Howard for bringing in a great new member.

Sincerely,.Tom Ryan.
