Born in Karnataka India. Studied BSc in Bangalore (1975) then MBBS at Bellary Medical College (1984) and then MD Pathology at Kasturba Medical College Manipal(1988), Udipi. Worked as Junior Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Assistance Professor at Manipal. Then moved to Saudi Arabia (Dammam) as Specialist in Hematology.(1991) Then to Fiji Islands as Head of Pathology, Fiji Medical School (2001). Currently in Australia as Senior Lecturer & Head of Pathology at School of Medicine James Cook University.
