I was one day early for the whiskey trail and taste testing in Dufftown, the self proclaimed malt whiskey capital, but I'd like to go back there. We only stopped for tea on our way into the Highlands.

Slain's Castle (an Eerie Pub Company) was the coolest pub. Click on the link to see more pictures. The best part was the bathrooms... they were behind the bookcases, like something out of Scooby-Doo! The bar looked like a mad scientist lab and some college students were hosting a Ghost Walk of old Aberdeen, which I took! After I sat and enjoyed geeky conversation with Graham ( the guide and best story teller!) and some other characters.

Driving into the Highlands... I saw more shades of green than is unimaginable...... and sheep (not seen in this photo, obviously) The roads were perilous and our driver was easily insane. I thought for sure he was driving us to our demise at least once every hour. Because of this, I never looked out the front window, only the side windows. |

We snapped a few pictures and took in the view just before the clouds opened up and rained on us!
Now, Glasgow.... |

Glasgow is a large cosmopolitan city, made rich in the 18th century by merchants and bankers during the cotton and tobacco trade with America. People that like historical architecture and shopping by day and clubs or concerts at night would love this city. I was only here one day as a stop over, so I didn't get to do much. Maybe you will?
