1.  JOSHUA4 BRADLEY  (HENRY BRADLEY3 JR., HENRY BRADLEY2 SR., FRANCIS1 BRADLEY) was born 1769 in York county,Pennsylvania, and died June 09, 1839 in Jackson County,illinois(Gillespie Cemetary).  He married NANCY ANN GARDNER August 17, 1796 in Caberrus,North Carolina, daughter of JAMES GARDNER and MARY ?.

He and Nancy are buried in Gillespie Cemetary in Randolp County,ill.Joshua was living in Mecklenburg County,North Carolina in 1778,under the care of a great uncle,James Bradley,when his dad gave instructions in a power of attorney that he was to be taken from James care.That portion of Mecklenburg County became Cabarrus County,North Carolina.Joshua married in Cabarrus County,North Carolin,on August 17,1796 to Nancy Gardner.Joshua and Nancy migrated with his father-in-law,James Gardner and his family to Sumner Co,Tennessee,where he and Nancy lived for the next twenty years before migrating to illinois territory.Henry Bradley jr's estate was administered in January of 1791 in York County,North Carolina by James Griffith.Cabarrus County,North Carolina,was formed from Mecklenburg County in November of 1792.In 1794,Joshua Bradley of Caburras gave all claim he had to his fathers estate in York county,Pa.to his brother,Elijah,for natural love and other considerations(including a silver watch).Joshua was deede lot number 11 in Southeast Square of Concord,Cabarrus County,North Carolina on April 18,1796.Joshua was apointed patroller in Capt.Abrham Alexanders company on Oct 10,1796 in Concord,Caburras County,North Carolina.He sold his Concord lot to John Steel of Mecklenburg County on Oct 15,1796.He,Nancy,and James henry joined Nancy's family and neighbors heading west,they migrated to Sumner County,tennesse,wher they stayed for 20 years.On Nov 4,1800,Josh was commissioned an Ensign in Tennessee Militia Regiment of Sumner County "during good behavior".On Aug 1,1803,Joshua was bondsman for Blair Harris and Rachel Gardner and is listed as buying from the estate sale of James gardner in 1803.On March 18,1806,he deeded a lot in Gallatin and in 1807,he hired one negro girl from the estate of William Cochran,During feb term,1816,Josh is mentioned as a buyer in sale of the estate of Mary Ann Gardner.

Notes for NANCY ANN GARDNER:
Joshua and Nancy moved their family of seven children to ill Territory by 1817.James Henry was a educater and a stone mason.
