    ADMISSIONS    

Eligibility : Graduate Degree Course in Engineering (B.E.)
Candidates seeking admission to the B.E. Degree course should have passed either one of the following examinations with English as one of the languages and a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Two Year Pre University Course examinations conducted by the Karnataka State Pre University Board.
Two year Intermediate examinations conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State Board or any other equivalent examinations thereto.
Candidates who have completed Diploma with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks are also eligible for admission to the Course.
In case of SC/ST students, the minimum percentage of marks for admission is relaxed by 10%.

Post Graduate Degree Course in Computer Application (M.C.A)

Candidates seeking admission to the M.C.A. Degree Course should have one of the following qualifications with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
A Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University with Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Programming / Computer Science / Computer Application as one of the subjects at the 10+2 or the Degree Level.
Passed any examination recognized by the University as equivalent thereto.

In case of SC/ST Students, the minimum percentage of marks for admission is relaxed by 5%.
NOTE : All admissions are subject to the approval of the University and the Government of Karnataka.

F E E S T R U C T U R E

Application for Admission
Application forms for admission to the course along with the college prospectus are available in the College Office on payment of Rs. 300/- by D.D. drawn in favour of The Principal, Vijayanagar Engineering College, Bellary. Candidates desirous of getting the application forms and prospectus are required to send a requisition along with the D.D. and a self addressed envelope (size 27 cm x 12 cm) with postage stamps of Rs. 3/- affixed.

Duly filled applications should reach the Principal on or before the notified date along with a Registration Fee of Rs. 500/- by D.D. drawn in favour of The Principal, Vijayanagar Engineering College, Bellary.

Application forms issued by the College and duly completed in all respects only will be accepted.

Important Instructions :

The candidate shall enclose the following attested true copies and certificates along with the application.

a) S.S.L.C. Marks card
b) II Year PUC Marks Card or any equivalent examinations thereto - 2 copies
c) Physical Fitness Certificate - 2 copies
d) Domicile Certificate (applicable only for students of Karnataka) - 2 copies
e) Character Certificate (from the Head of the Institution where last studied) - 2 copies
f) Transfer Certificate within the specified time, if admitted to the said course.
g) Migration certificate (applicable only for students hailing from outside Karnataka).
h) Original Caste Certificate in case of SC/ST/Other backward caste students, issued by competent authorities to Government.

The candidate has to produce the Original Certificates / Marks Cards at the time of the admission.

Important Regulations :

Students should maintain a minimum of 75% attendance.
Students should score a minimum of 12% marks in the Internal Practical Assessment to be eligible to appear for the University Examinations.
Students can carry forward only 4 subjects / heads in their two preceding semesters. However, they will not be eligible for promotion if they do not pass these subjects / heads within the next four semesters.
