Subpoena Duces Tecum
Definition:

Subpoena Duces Tecum  (supeona ducey tecum)  is a process by which the Court commands a witness who has in his/her possession or control  some documents or paper  which  is  pertinent  to  the issues  of a pending  controversy  to produce  it.  Simply stated, it is a subpoena for the production of documentary evidence.

Subpoena Duces Tecum should be generated and signed by the Court to gain possession and control of  any electronic,  paper records, and  notes  that CPS, a school,  local law enforcement,  the prosecutor's office, or anyone else has that is relevent to your case.
