battle 1: vs durn stunties

pitched battle scenario:

was nae that bad...was a close game till the end...coupla of things woulda made a big differeance in the outcome.  1) if the dwarves had not set up with 1 unit in the forest...stopped me from putting my waywatchers in there, which means i coulda picked em to pieces from inside, 2) the roll of 3 wounds on the durn cannon shot on my forest lord, or if he had hit my bird and not the lord, he had amber amulet, so 2 woulda been nice, he coulda regenerated the wounds, 3) if 1 6 woulda shown up on the 6 dice i rolled to killing blow his general, or whatever it was

wardancers and dryads both performed rather poorly

durn stuntie toughness was a pain to wound with str 3 hits, not to mention annoying armour saves

game 2: greg's undivided chaos

vorpal bunnies scenario:

all in all, the best game i have played in a looooooong time, (i gave greg best opponent)

i move my units around, and take a couple pot shots, manage to kill a bunny in the first turn, so that was cool, second turn my forest lord completly wipes out his chosen mounted knights with one toss of his hunting lance, however, he was shot to peices by fireballs...it was really annoying, 1+ save vs missle weapons and i dont save enough times...caught 2 bunnies...tough little whores to keep ahold of.  The game was really close for a chaos army, more models than i thought...it was fun, really fun though, my great eagle took out a sorc, so he was happy, (5 chaos chosen mounted knights with banner, then the mage...not bad for a dude and his bird).  The game went back and forth soo much it was great, mad props to greg, i would have driven down there for this game alone.

third game : chaos swarm again (man, what is it with chaos and me?)

scenario : VOLCANO!

cliff sported more chaos models than i have ever seen in my life, too many maruarders...so many that in the first turn i shot out with my hail of doom arrow, totally destroyed one unit, which caused two others to panic and run off the board...not bad for a 30 point magic item.  i was worried about his chairots at first...but my general picked em off with the pocket bolt thrower (with the help from heatseeking woodelf arrows).  I was extactic with my wardancers when they charged the chariot his one of his heros was on and killing blowed him (i so love that skill, hehe, "no armour save allowed" "How? you're an elf" "ya, the elf who just cut your bastard head off!")
i think i had the game won pretty early, but it was still great, he fought all the way to the end...gotta love that aspect of a player

all in all, not bad, i really didnt play a scenario i didnt like, my favorite, by far, was vorpal bunnies...i will see what i can do about the oct tourny...(sniff...1500 points, no pocket bolt thrower...sniff sniff)
