MEMBERSHIP

Our current membership, for 2004, is 60 and counting. The members have various means of transport, Beetles, Ghias, Busses, GTIs, Squarebacks, Super Beetles, Rabbits, Jettas, Foxes - Stock and Custom - Early and Late, with a few of our members owning "New" Beetles.

The members are from various walks of life and reside mostly in the Greater Toronto area. However, some members reside in areas such as Dundalk to the West, Erin to the Northwest, Peterborough to the Northeast, Trenton to the East, Grimsby to the South and Barrie to the North.

Meetings are held once a month,alternating each month, between the Eastern Region and the Western Region of the Greater Toronto area.  This seems the best way to keep in touch (face to face), meet with the members, talk about their VWs, or the latest VW show, and to just have plain old FUN!!!  It is not mandatory to attend each and every meeting.

A newsletter is published once a month, in colour and black & white.  The newsletter contains member photos and stories about their VW and/or restoration project. Also included is Technical information, Parts information, Classifieds, VW Show events calendar, Cruise night calendar, coming Events reminder, Show Flyers, Date, Time & Place of the next meeting, meeting Agenda, Volks 'R' Us balance sheet and anything relating to Volkswagens.

The members like to attend the Canadian VW shows, with a handful venturing to the more popular East Coast USA shows that are held in Virginia, Ohio, Michigan, New York and Pennsylvania.  A few of the members make it a habit to attend the local Cruise Nights held throughout the Summer months.

If you decide to join the Volks 'R' Us Club, the Annual Fee is $30.00 for the year 2004.  This Fee is used primarily to cover the cost of producing and distributing the Monthly Newsletter.

By joining and becoming a member of the Volks 'R' Us Club, you have access to many of our members who are very knowledgeable, a few being professional VW mechanics, and can be very helpful when the need arises.
