| Slow Dance Have you ever watched kids on a merry-go-round? Or listened to the rain lapping on the ground? Ever followed a butterflies erratic flight? Or gazed at the sun into the fading night? You better slow down. Don't dance so fast. Time is short. The music won't last. Do you run through each day on the fly? When you ask, "How are you?" Do you hear the reply? When the day is done Do you lie in your bed? With the next hundred chores Running through your head? You better slow down. Don't dance so fast. Time is short. The music won't last. Ever told your child, We'll do it tomorrow? And in your haste, Not see his sorrow? Ever lost touch, Let a good friendship die? Cause you never had time To call and say "Hi"? You better slow down. Don't dance so fast. Time is short. The music won't last. When you run so fast to get somewhere You miss half the fun of getting there. When you worry and hurry through your day, It is like an unopened gift Thrown away. Life is not a race. Do take it slower Hear the music Before the song is over. |
| Locket in my heart I've got a locket in my heart, A locket in my soul. It's the locket that holds the key, No one will ever find. People pry it open and feel what's deep inside But then decide to slam it due to one small thing that's wrong I open up the locket for people to see inside They only take out a piece and throw it away. | Nobody Knew She sits in a room with her head toward the window. She's not quite all there but that doesn't really matter right now. Stains on the walls, stains all around, not only in her heart, but there on the ground. Some stains will fade, but never go away. Your memory will fade, just don't be afraid. I love you now, I will somehow forever, just don't forget I know I won't ever. The girl who is sitting she is alone, she was once loved, knowbody knows. Her lover ius gone, he's gone away now. | I'm staying right here A sweet "I'm sorry" just for you, I don't know how to tell you how much I love you. Time goes on, I feel pain. I don't know how to go on, I stand in the rain. | It's funny isn't it Funny how we can love someone so much and let him or her walk away isn't it? Funny how we can love someone with our whole heart and let them go? Funny how you can want someone else so bad, and someone who has always been there for you, and will always be there for you, and loves you with their whole heart is standing right in front of you? Funny how we always want something that isn't given to us isn't it? Funny how you never thought you loved someone and you let him or her go, and then when they're gone, you never know what you lost? Funny how when someone dies and goes away you never really knew how much they meant to you? Funny how you never really killed someone and their soul and spirit when you let them off, or told them to go away? Funny how you never really realize how much something can mean to someone like a little hug, or a hello, or even a goodbye can mean? Funny how just a smile sometimes can make someone feel better? Funny how one single word, love, can turn the world upside down, how it can make you feel unstopable, how it can make you feel so much at one time, mixed up like you want to cry, and you want to laugh, and you want to be angry because you are so mad, and so confused, but you feel like you are floating, like the one person who you feel like you love, that person you feel like you would do anything in the world for? Funny how much you care what someone thinks about something, or something small or the littlest things can remind you of them, and when they go away it's like there is a big hole, and you can't fill it? Funny the way something can make you so upset, how you can't stop crying, or you can't make all the pains go away? Funny how we call this love? Funny how much it means? Funny how love can make you hate someone, funny how you can die of a broken heart? Funny how you can love someone with everything you've got, and the next day it's gone? Funny why people die, like Romeo and Juliet just to be together? Funny how that was the only way they could be together? Funny how sometimes you love someone so much, and when something doesn't go right you feel like you aren't living anymore, you feel like you're in some big screen play, and that the stuff isn't happening to you, but your character? Funny how you can love someone so much and then hurt him or her so much isn't it? Funny how sometimes people feel like they don't have a chance for anything, when there is one right there? Funny how people don't know what they are missing, funny how people don't realize what they have and they let go? Funny how the one person you are telling everything to is the person that you can trust the most, yet you want someone else, you want someoen who is better, someone who you think is right for you? | The turning of time With a turn of time it was all gone and I saw no reason to move on. And on the other side of time what was holding me back? | Weak and Strong The weak will fall, but you will not. The strong will rise, rise above it all. I hope you crash, crash into a wall. Then maybe I won't hurt doesn't matter anyway. I've lost it all.
