There Has To Be

There has to be a better day,
down the road,
where's stars shine bright,
and shadows fear the night.

A time frail now,
yet stonger then,
an age of lion roar,
skies in which eagles soar.

There has to be a day,
the future must hold,
it can't be forlorn,
this carcass becoming worn.

Take this pain,
away,
tear it apart,
renounce not my heart.

Bring salvation,
not endless,
within limit,
confined.

There has to be a day,
coming,
flesh is strong,
harm decays.

I need this day,
please come,
this time,
refine.

This day must be real,
the horizon cradles it,
molds it,
feeds it.

It must come,
it should come,
I deserve,
immerse me.

There has to be a better day,
there just has to...
