Hi! My name is Trix and my owner is Abby. I love to herd things even my owner and my Greyhound Sister. I herd them everywhere. I am a Sheltland Sheepdog. I was born in California and moved to Florida. My mom is pretty special. She rescured me from an elderly lady who could not take care of me. I get combed everyday. A bath every 10 days. And a lot of LOVE from
my Mom. Even the Greyhound can't resist me. I love to get my picture taken and be paid attention to. Christmas is wonderful. So many presents and so much I didn't know where to start.
My Mom takes me on vacation to visit my Aunt Patsy in Cape Coral and my nephew David they have a companion named Butch and he is a BOXER. I love the vacation but I hate the ride and the time I have to wait in car until we get there. It is a real long drive. But mom stops and lets us out and feeds us hamburgers from Mc Donalds. The burgers makes the ride worth it.
The boxer is full of alot of energy and wants to play the minute we get there and we are all tired and glad to stop riding. Butch really like my sister the greyhound and kisses her ears all the time. He never stops paying attention to her. He knows not to mess with me. I am the oldest and am held in hight esteem. So I watch them and get to rest. Aunt Patsy always has presents for us and I can hardly wait to open them.
Sometimes she get me blankets and shirts for those cold days in Florida. I don't like toys. The noise makes me scared. I don't even like it when my mom open a can of Coke. I start to run.
I also get packages in the mail from my Aunt Patsy and Butchey. They send me treats and combs and anything they think I would like. When the UPS man come, I start to bark and turn around in cirlces to let my mom know he bringing up a package. When we get the package my mom puts it on the floor for me to inspect and smell to let her know it is OK. Mom slowly opens the package all the while letting me smell each tear of way. Until we get down to the bottom of the package where my treats are. That is really fun to get packages in the mail. I look forward to them. Sometime the UPS man comes and I bark but a neighbor get the package and I am disappointed. I look forward to getting packages. It is a special time in our house.
This page will grow when I find some interesting Sheltie things to share with you. So please come back and see me.
Since this page was created by my mom things have changed. I have been diagsnois with a heart murmur and I have cancer of the spleen. Being so sick is a hard thing for me to do. My mom is taking care of me. I have good days and bad days. Most of the time I have not been eating. My weight has dropped from 24 lbs to 16 lbs. The vet gave me some medicine to help me eat. Now I am starting to eat again. I have had a special relationship with my mom. She LOVES me very much and is doing everything she can to help me get through this time.
Trixie passed away to the Rainbow Bridge. Her leaving me has left me heartbroken. She was everything to me. I looked so forward every day to wake up to her being there. Trixie put up a tremendous fight. I will never forget her. She was my first sheltie. Perfect in every way.
