Headed E on I-10 to Mescal/J-Six Ranch Rd, where I turned around and headed W again. As soon as I got back on I-10 I encountered a sustained 45-50mph line of wind coming from the N. There was large debris in the road (stumps and other trash). At the Kolb Rd overpass there was a pole partway down, wires hanging low over the interstate. That pole fell shortly after and they shut down I-10 for a while. The interstate was covered in about an inch of water in most places and up to 5 inches elsewhere. Visibility was poor, making for unsafe driving conditions. Arrived home at 8:30pm |
