July 29 Tucson, AZ click on thumbnail for a larger image This was a beautiful storm that moved through Tucson mid-afternoon. It produced wind gusts up to 70mph, large hail, heavy rain, and lots of lightning. So far, this has been the most photogenic storm this year. I measured just under a quarter inch of rain, whereas places just to the north and south of me received up to 3/4 of an inch in under 30 minutes. I had a terrible time picking images for this one, and managed to get it down to 17. |
