The next day we hiked Cowles Mountain.  It's 1.5 miles and 950' from the trailhead to the summit.  I had trouble keeping up with Jennifer as she powered up that hill in 35 minutes!
Lake Jennings County Park is a great campground.  Site #91 had electric and water and a sweeping view of the lake.  The staff was nice and it's just 30 minutes or so to Aqua-Adventures on Mission Bay where we went Kayaking!  We took a 2-hour lesson that included basic strokes and wet exits.
The next day we went back and paddled around the bay ourselves for a couple of hours.  We crossed the bay under a bridge because boats have to slow down to 5MPH and as our instructor Mike told us the previous day "to them we're just speedbumps."  We checked out a couple of old steamer boats that are now restaurants and saw a sea lion on a barge before heading back.  It is very relaxing to glide on the still water in the marina among the boats and birds.
