Next Gen Weapons however, is a truly original mod, adding some 'cool' varieties to the standard UT weapon types. The weapons are much different from the Default UT ones, and the different ammo types helps to vary the game.
Each weapon now has 2-5 different ammo types, i.e. proximity mines, scatter grenades, fire ooze, shatter blades + more. Every weapon also has brand new primary and secondary ammo as well as a few of the original UT ammo types, there is also the ability to handle "duel-weapons". One of the notable 'cool' weapons is the Firewall. Using the Plasma Gun; fire this bad boy at the ground and marvel as huge walls of flames spring into existence, don't get to close though or you'll toast yourself.
An easily configurable interface allows you access to the Next Gen Weapons, they can either totally replace the default weapons or randomly replace them.
