Author's Note to Chapters 399-428
Well here it is, the final storyline that will hopefully resolve a few lingering questions. There isn't much to say about the series, except that I felt the need to write ten more chapters then I had originally intended.
Anyway, I thought I'd take a chance just to mention some of the things I would have done differently and will do differently when I revise the series as well as talk about some other issues.
The Starlights will recieve more plot development as will Guardian Earth,
Moon, and Sailor Earth.
There are several things that I can do with these
characters that I couldn't fit into the plot at the time, but I think would make
sense to do.
The Guardian Scouts would also become more complex characters. I never really hit on why they all act like they do and I should.
The battle scenes I have written sometimes vary from well detailed to more ambiguous. This is a result of the fact that is incredibly hard to write them. Furthermore, the problem I face is that I love to watch anime battle scenes. Reading them takes a good deal of the fun away. If Sailor Moon AR was ever televised, which will never happen, but speaking sylistically, the battle scenes would be much clearer because you could see them.
On that note, my description has never been great I realize. Half the times I don't say where some of the characters are before launching into their dialogue. Part of the reason is that it interupts with the flow of the story to do so. I essentially wrote 428 plus stories that would be intended to put on T.V. but novelized them to make them flow better. The truth is though that if I was writing a script all I'd have to do is write. (Setting:Field) and then the dialogue and any action. So essentialy I did the same thing in the novels. Besides, I figured that since reading is supposed to invoke one's imagination, you the reader, can have these conversations take place wherever you want. In addition, the setting is sometimes completely unimportant to what's happening, so I don't explain it. Part of the reason I was able to write 428 plus chapters in under a two years is that I cut a few corners, but I don't think it interferes with the story at all. Besides, think about how long it would be if I added description of people, places, and things to the mix?
Well, that's all I have to say at the moment. I hope everyone likes how
I end it. To be honest, I hated the way the real Sailor Stars ended, so I try to
make up for it while still trying to capture the feeling so the original Sailor
Moon.
