Colleges:
"After graduation I was off to
Cornell where I was totally misplaced in the School of Agriculture. I was not misplaced, however, in the whirl of partying which resulted in my "attending" Cornell about three times!  After settling down, I finally transferred to Lehigh's Business School, graduating,(whew), in 1960 with a BS. (you all know what that really stands for) in Ecomonics and Business Management."

Work Summary:
" I spent my entire working career in sales, Sales Manager, Public Affairs, and Executive positions for a number of different companies and industries. That's how we were able to stay in Harvard."

Current Occupation:
"Aside from being happily retired and lazy, I spend quite a bit of time downhill skiing in nearby Vermont (at Stratton, if Ed Walsh reads this) and involvement in a number of Town Committees, The local Historical Society, and some volunteer work. My real joy is quality time interaction with four grand daughters. Two live about 3 minutes away in Harvard. The other two are only two hour away in Trum, CT. My summertime activities revolve around maintaining a large yard, a little golf, and stuff that just seems to eat up time."

Other:
"Fortunately, Toni and I, in fact our entire family , are blessed with good health, as long as no one contrues my expanding middle as poor health. We have the ususal aches and pains of 67 year olds (just wanted to remind you all of where we all stand along life's road...Ha!"

Colleges and subsequent life:

"Well, I never graduated! I was a perennial attendee, attending Wilson College (2 years), University of Florida (1 year),and Nova University ( assorted courses) attempting to complete a degree in Fine Arts. I married in my third year of college , subsequently had two children, Randal born in 1958, BS General Construction,University of FL,currently residing in Asheville NC. and Sharon (Cheri) born in 1960, 2 AA degrees(Secretarial and Computer Science)and a BA in Public Relations, Western Kentucky University. Currently residing in Alpheretta, GA she has home schooled her two sons the last three years . In 1970 I divorced and in 1974 married (Edward W. Reynolds -4 children) , and have been happy ever since. Ed and I owned and operated G & E Enterprises Inc., a Florida General Construction Corporation, operating from 1979 to the present ,  though now owned by our sons as we retired to the North Georgia mountains in 1991."

"My loves and interests in life have been home and hearth based.  I am a strong believer that being a help-mate in business,a competent home-maker, responsible parent and loving partner are what I was destined to be about.  I had to confer with Ed on what I do now (I seem perpetually in motion) and he says I enjoy picking flowers but not tending them, mowing vast acerages( if you haven't driven an X-Mark you have NO idea what I mean), dabbling in watercolors and photography, reading & learning about anything and continued studies in economics and finance.. We like solidude, though also entertaining in small groups with close friends along with mental stimulation from spirited conversation and , my favorite, complex computer problems."

We struggle with some health problems but all in all life is excellent. (God willing and the creek don't rise!)

"As a youngster I grew up in Huntingdon Valley (actually Bryn Athyn), PA, about 10 miles from G.S. That, plus the fact that two generations and six family members preceded me at G.S., pretty well suggested that I'd follow that same educational path. I started my freshman year as a day student, taking the commercial bus, operated by the Reading Railroad, that passed my front door and deposited me either the end of Eyre(sp?)Line or at Kenderdines (the Newtown train station). The Reading had recently ceased regular scheduled train service on the Newtown line, thus the bus, however you might recall that GS rented a private train every other year to take the whole school population to Bryn Athyn Academy for the "big" and last football game of the season just befor the Thanksgiving break.  Students and teachers would traipse down to the GS station, ride the train to Bryn Athyn and walk about a mile up the hill through the village to their football field and return the reverse way after the game.  I think we usually lost the game, but as we were told "we built character".  I guess we didn't think it was a big deal then, but in retrospect it was a lot of fun and generated great school spirit.  I suspect that some class members have some interesting on-that-train-ride episodes to regale us with."

P.S. From Jack
I became a Drayton boarder in my sophomore year and ultimately became the third generation of my family to graduate from GS.(can any of you remember who my two sophomore room mates were?  I think one might have been Griff Miller, but I can't remember my other roomy who was involved in the "hot dog cooker scheme". Help!)  My junior room mate was Phil Shoemaker and my senior room mates were Phil Shoemaker and Tom Thomas.  Much later our youngest daughter, Kris-'80, made us a four generation GS family."
