The Victorian Pinto Society was formed in 1976 to promote the Pinto in all categories of showing, breeding and general horsemanship.
Our objectives are:
To teach members proficiency in horsemanship and the proper care and control of the Pinto.
To disseminate and make available to members all relevant information and literature and to provide lectures and instruction days.
To promote social contact between members.
To publish a register of all eligible animals.
To formulate regulations for the control of the society.
To assist members in obtaining the maximum enjoyment and benefit from the Pinto.
To cultivate and promote understanding and courtesy and to develop self discipline and responsibility in all matters equestrian.
To associate with all other breeds or societies for the betterment of the society.
The Victorian Pinto Society welcomes any person owning a Pinto or who is interested in the Pinto to our society.
Currently we run four shows per year specifically for Pintos, these being
START OF SEASON - Held at Berwick in October, this is a double chance show, two rings just for Pintos, with a full program of led and ridden events.
STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS - Held at Werribee Park over two days in October. Our premier show has classes for all Pintos including led, ridden, activities, harness and dressage.
PRE SUMMER ROYAL - Held at Berwick in December, this is a double chance show, two rings just for Pintos, with a full program of led and ridden events.
PINTO YOUNGSTOCK SHOW - Held at Berwick in February, this is a chance to get your Pinto babies out. Also featuring the double chance two ring format.
