Making it bend, twist, warp and jiggle with a Deformed Nurb.Note: Anfy3d is unable to do Deformed Nurbs.
You will not see animation unless you open browser. Browser Sim will NOT show animation. It is HIGHLY recomended you do Lesson 2 Animations before trying this Lesson. Lesson 3 Textures may also come in handy.
You can Deform any Nurb except a Nurb. (That means only one Deformed seletion per node.) You can Deform a group or a single node, even if it is already animated. There are several options to deformed nurbs, SWELL, BEND, TWIST OR BLURR. I haven't really seen that much of a difference using a BLURR, so we will do a BEND. I think once you grasp that, the others will be self-explainitory.
Click on cylinder, and click on screen. (With following 2 steps, you will only see something happen in the tree box.) Click on Deformed Nurb button and click on cylinder. Click on trigger click on cylinder.
Open up the Deformed Nurb Properties box, add node cylinder by clicking on the Add Node button then on the cylinder in Tree Box. Set Deformation Mode to BEND. Axis of Deformation to X. Magnitude 1.Open up the Sensor Properties box. Click Add Trigger, Click Nurbs Deformation in Tree Box. Click Visibility.
Click on Browser button, to see what you have done. The cylinder folds all the way down from the middle. Adjust the bend in Spazz3d by setting Magnitude to .1. Look again at Browser.Try SWELL, or TWIST. Put in different waves to make it bend in more than one place. Try it with a reveloution.
