Steely was a 2nd year FIRST bot, built with about 15 other Maclay highschoolers. It was a simple bot, just pushing around goals. However, it had a quite more advanced drive system thanWoody, It had a tank drive! This sucker has a Lot of friction on the bottom. We competed at Nationals in Epcot this year, as well as the Regionals at Kennedy Space Center. All in all, it was a pretty good year. I left Maclay this year, and saw the old team recently at a catapult engineering contest, and apparently they've built some tensioners into the bottom of the track, giving it a shorter base, and thus greater turning capabilities. If I can get my hands on some new pics, I'll post them. In the meanime, here are some pics from Nationals:

Yeah, they're coconuts!
You got a problem with that?
^Yes, that's us (Maclay Robotics Team) in #1 at Nationals! Unfortunately, we actually finished a wee tad bit lower.
