April 20, 2004: Someone made me an offer to purchase my Ducati at a price at which I could not refuse. I sold the bike & got this one instead. It's a Ducati 749 Super Bike
January 31, 2004: Was asked to enter car/bike in this "Super Rides Celebrity Car Show" in honor of the Super Bowl in Houston after putting in a Custom System with a Kenwood M-700 Touchscreen Head Unit, Kenwood CD Changer, Audiovox DVD Player/TV Tuner, 2 Rockford Fausgate 12" Subs & a Rockford Fausgate 1200 Watt Amplifier
November 24, 2004: Got this new toy. It's a Ducati 800 Super Sport Special Edition Motorcycle. Matches the car perfectly

THE ORDER PROCESS / JOURNAL:
September 20, 2002: I finally placed an order for a 2003 BMW M3 at Advantage BMW in downtown Houston, TX. I have been told that I can expect a Thanksgiving production and a Christmas or New Year's time delivery...now I must anxiously wait to see and drive the final product. There are not too many options to choose from, but the following describes my order:
Exterior Color: Laguna Seca Blue Non-Metallic
Interior: Gray Leather
Option #1: Sequential Manual Gearbox (SMG)
Option #2: Premium Package
Option #3: Bi-xenon Headlights
Option #4: 19" M Double Spoke Alloy Wheels
October 21, 2002: I received a call from my salesperson asking me to finalize my order and I was given an opportunity to make any changes to my order. After some contemplation, I decided to change to color scheme of my vehicle. The exterior color is now going to be Steel Gray Metallic with an Imola Red Leather interior. It's a tad wild, but so is the entire car. =)
October 22, 2002: I received a final purchase order listing all of the pertinent information, signed it, and sent it right back. I was also assigned a production number which gives me access to the "owner's circle" on the BMW website. Trust me, it's the coolest thing to have when ordering a car because you get to track your vehicle through the six stages of production it goes through. I set up my account on their site. Initially, you are put into "on order" status.
November 7, 2002: I was moved from "on order" status to "scheduled for production." My car will soon go through the precise and magical BMW assembly line.
November 15, 2002: My M3 has been built! It is now in the "awaiting transport" stage. Looks like we're about two weeks ahead of schedule. The excitement is overwhelming!
November 26, 2002: Two major things happened today! One, I went to my dealer and wrapped up the paperwork on the car and two, my car was placed in "en route" mode (step 4 of 6). That means that it has left Germany on a ship and is now on it's way to South Carolina. woooohooo! I can expect it to arrive in Houston in 3 weeks.
December 12, 2002: I was informed that my car has now reached South Carolina and is currently undergoing it's second to last inspection. It will be leaving for Houston on Monday and should arrive at my dealership on Tuesday or Wednesday. I was told I can probably pick it up on the 18th. Need I say more?
