Hi! My name is: | ||
I live at: | ||
I teach chemistry part time at El Paso Community College. I got my BSChem at the University of Georgia and my PhD at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. I am currently looking for a permanent teaching position. If you like you can see my resume here.
I am currently working on a "Short Webcourse in General Chemistry" which you can see here. Let me know what you think about it!
Below are some links in chemistry. There are a lot more at my home page for my classes at EPCC.
Of course I am also interested in other sciences particularly astronomy. El Paso has some very nice viewing once you get away from the city lights. Here are some links for the sciences:
I like to read, especially science fiction. My favorites are C. J. Cherryh, Ursula K. LeGuin, and Anne McCaffrey. In the classics I like Asimov and Heinlein. For light sci-fi/fantasy I read Terry Pratchett or Douglas Adams. Here are some links for science fiction:
I have always liked gardening. Since I live in an apartment I am limited to container gardening but I still have a lot of flowers on my porch. El Paso has a long growing season but is tough on plants due to the heat and dryness. The water is also very hard. I have been interested also in bonsai for many years. Here are some links for gardening and bonsai:
I am an animal lover. I have two cats in my apartment now but I also like dogs. I also am interested in birds and fish as pets. Here are some links for pet lovers:
