Young Scientists receive recognition from the Honab'le President of India

A missionary spirit for reincarnation of values in society for last 18 years

Ratul,Mayank,Saurabh,Anurag and Rajeev received an appreciation award by Honab'le President of India for amending the stick of the blinds.They are students of College of Technology Pantnagar.The prize was given National Innovation Foundation.There were around 13000 entries in which 52 were awarded. Kudos young brains...You will reach to higher destiny.

Sri B.D.Thuwal,Sri P.C.Papne and Sri Subhash Chaturvedi

It was in as early as 1985 that Sri Vishnudatt Thuwal started a Yagya in the Pantnagar Campus.The name given was Mangal Milan.This activity was not as easy as it looked.It had a very ambitious and pious intention to rejuvenate the feeling of devotion towards highest humanitarian values in the campus through  weekly get-together in one of the families with participation of the neighbours and friends of that families. There were less takers of the idea so initially the programme started in some volunteer families who accepted the importance of the effort.Sri Devesh Ji,the then vice-Principal of Inter College,Sri P.C.Papne Sri Subhash Chaturvedi,Sri Rampal Varshney and a team of such dedicated personalities joined the process. Families were selected and they themselves used to carry Dari and Ramcharita Manas to the families.The family members were supposed to call their neighbours and some Batasa for Prasad. The process used to have some Chaupai from Manas followed with Bhajan. Then a session of Yog,Dhyan and Pranayam and a short briefing of importance of regular yog was given.Then the women folk and children were addressed by stories and incidents from real life,Ved,Puran or Upnishad with a summary of lessions.The final part was Rastra Charcha in which every one was free to share and the intention was to generate a feeling of duty towards their family,organisation,society and Nation.,The final closure was with aarati and Prasad Vitran.The normal duration was two hours. Soon the process got momentum and the programme was in demand from all sections of society.Week after week it continued in the campus from Professor's Bungalows to the huts of labourers and from Nagla to Haldi.In cold nights or heavy rains the team struggled with a missionary zeal.It is 2003 and the team has not shaded their zeal.The effort is still continuing for last 18 years in Pantnagar Campus regularly with same spirit. Its easy to begin an activity but to continue it for decades needs real commitment and dedication.Sadhuwad to Mangal Milan Karyakram and the team behind it.

The youngest Wildlife Warden

Satya Priya Gautam Bhalla is 2nd year student of B.V.Sc.& A.H. of Pantnagar.He has been declared as Wildlife warden by the Honab'le Governor of Uttaranchal for his extraordinary contribution in wildlife protection.Born in 1980,he has been bestowed upon with Wildlife Protection Society of India Award,2002; Sristi Award from Sristi Foundation,1999;Venu Menon Young Achiever Award,1999;and Award from Corbett Tiger Reserve for the care of wilflife in 1996. Congratulations Satya.

Contributions of Mangal Milan

Mangal Milan included not only spiritual issues for also the social issues in its peripheri.It struggled to maintain harmony in the society through inspiring the people to come over the feelings of cast, creed and region.A main isuue was to propose an ideal way of life through which everyone may live  peacefully and successfully,inculcating values and morals in their own life pattern and in their children. The small collection through Aarti was sent for all possible national causes as earthquake relief,flood relief,tribal welfare and other such occasions.

Lets not ask what society can do for us and rather think how we can repay the big debt of society and the nation that is already there on our head.
