Looking Beyond
Spires rising high as if touching the sky Remind me of an old tamil saying Must be true in any other tongue View the spires, rid your despair.
Is it not quaint, to absolve taint Must be the reason for those of yore Building spires taller and taller For one to view from far and near.
When I see the tip of spires I see the heavens bright and clear Lighted by the halo of one Sitting beside His Father.
And spire is the neck (church being the body) Am sure its our father in heaven Casting His merciful glance on us.
No doubt its a beautiful sight And I guess the best way To tend the flock from above From here to land's end. The spires inspire me 4/23/02 |

The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.... (Psalms 14:2) |

Key to Heaven
If Peter were to resign and return the keys
Overwhelming you by the new opportunity
With the responsibility to be the New Rock.
Will you be willing to stand at the gate?
Checking the id of those about to enter
It is ticket less travel like the Continental
But sure they all need to show credential.
The highway to heaven is congested
With intercession of the apostles and saints
To let in is a thankless job albeit coveted
But none may accept from you, in turn.
That’s why Peter never resigned
To return his keys or relinquish the post.
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter,
and upon this rock I will build my church….
(Matthew 16:18) |
