October 11 Update from Shaun | ||||||
I met briefly yesterday with Martin from Scott Construction and the
supervisor of the demolition and salvage work commencing in the Iona
Building. They will be placing fencing around parts of the building -
specifically along the north & east faces and around the dirt area on the
south side. This fencing will prevent direct access to the Chancellor Building via Iona drive from the Iona Parking Lot and Columbian House. I am hoping to hear back from Basil Davis regarding work on placing some sort of covered walkway on this route. In the meantime, once the Iona fencing is up access from this area to the Chancellor Building will be via Military Road and "St. Andrew's Lane". For your information, a removal bin will be located on the north side of the Iona Building to speed removal of demolished items. Roger Moors as indicated he will be continuing discussions with Scott Construction regarding the locating of this removal bin on the grass area as opposed to the road way. I will pass on any further information on these topics I receive. Shaun |
