others regarding access in and around the Columbian House parking lot,
construction site for the new student residence. Although no final
solutions have being reached, the commencement of excavation has caused
access to be limited without notice.
As a result, vehicle access to the Iona gravel parking area is currently
only available via Military road on the 'Gage-side'. The dirt parking area
directly south of the Iona Building will be closed soon. As well, it is
likely that in the near future, pedestrian access from the Iona lot and
Columbian House via Iona Drive along the west end of the Iona building will
also be blocked. This would result in pedestrians being rerouted along
Military Road and St. Andrew's to access the Chancellor Building.
Conversations are continuing regarding vehicle, pedestrian, handicap and
fire access and any changes or final plans that are reached with be passed
on to the community.
